About this deal

One of the Fitbit Versa 3's best features is its high-resolution AMOLED display (Image credit: TechRadar) Fitbit Versa 3 price and availability Design-wise, the Versa 3 looks nearly identical to the Sense, featuring the same bright, colorful 1.58-inch, 336-by-336-pixel AMOLED display. In my Sense review, I noted that the display can be laggy; you sometimes have to swipe several times to get a response, an issue I also experienced on the Versa 3. The screen is beautiful, but it can be frustratingly unresponsive at times. At one point while testing the Versa 3, the screen froze and I had to reset the device to get it to start working again. The Versa also features the same troublesome band release mechanism, which I found could be accidentally triggered on the Sense. It also makes sense to compare the Versa 2 with the Fitbit Versa Lite. As the name indicates, the Fitbit Versa Lite is similar in design and looks, but with fewer features and a smaller price tag. If you aren't too bothered about maxing out on apps and workout routines, the Lite is a good option, but it may not have enough features for serious runners, cyclists, or gym bunnies. Based on this data, Fitbit provides a daily Sleep Score between 0-100. Most mornings my score landed in the 80s, although on one particularly restless night I landed in the 40s with hardly two hours of sleep under my belt (or covers.) Fitbit Versa 3 review: Smartwatch features

Alexa is, of course, on board to help you answer some questions that are displayed on the device, and with Google buying Fitbit, a firmware update some time in the future will add Google Assistant to the wearable as well. It's worth reiterating that many of the better Fitbit apps are paid, just as they are on Apple Watch or Android Wear OS devices, so you'll need to pony up if you want some of the expanded functionality they provide.Requires a Premium subscription. Only available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese and Korean. Fitbit has made a move to challenge Apple's dominance in the smartwatch market, realising that a huge chunk of the market prioritises fitness applications. And you can see this in the comparison between the Versa 2 and the Apple Watch 5 (the most realistic comparison as of early 2020). If you own an Apple iPhone, you can probably do a lot more with the Watch 5, and Apple have paid a bit more attention to aesthetics. If you're shopping for a watch to show off at work, rather than at the gym, the Watch 5 will probably be preferable. But the sleep analysis tools, variety of fitness programs, and the relatively low Fitbit Versa 2 price tag makes it a far better option for most fitness fanatics. Varies with use and other factors; up to 12 hours with continuous GPS. On-wrist calls require more frequent charging. Fitbit says the feature is "not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition and should not be relied on for any medical purposes." That said, if your sleeping SpO2 level is lower than 80 percent, you should seek professional medical attention. The Versa 3 is water resistant to 164 feet, so you can wear it in the shower or swimming without issue, even in salt water, though Fitbit advises against wearing it in a hot tub or sauna. If it gets wet, you should dry it completely as soon as possible. Fitbit recommends wearing the watch high on your wrist for a tight fit during workouts, and regularly cleaning the band and your wrist with a soap-free cleaner.

Even though Google has sworn that it won't share or monetize Fitbit user data, many people are still put off by the idea of Google even having access to such information. If that describes you, you may feel more comfortable looking elsewhere, like at Samsung. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer, a UL-certified USB wall charger, or another low-energy charging device. The Health Metrics dashboard and the metrics displayed in the dashboard are not available in all countries. Not intended for medical purposes. This feature is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition and should not be relied on for any medical purposes. It is intended to provide information that can help you manage your well-being.As with other recent devices like the Charge 4 and Sense, the Versa 3 can measure your SpO2 — or blood oxygen variation — while you sleep and display your results in the app on in an attractive watch face right on your wrist. Then with a tap, you can transition from SpO2 to step count, to heart rate, to Active Zone Minutes, to floors climbed. Pretty cool, and very useful and readable. Another great option to consider is the new Garmin Venu Sq. It sports many of the same health sensors as the Versa 3, and many users swear that the Garmin ecosystem is the best for fitness fanatics. Plus, it's a bit more affordable than the Versa 3. Alternatively, the newer Venu 2 is a more premium counter to the Versa 3, though it's priced accordingly. The haptic side "button" is a clever solution to streamline and waterproof the device, but it can be a bit hit or miss in everyday use. Included information about Calm meditation sessions and snore and noise detection features being added.

The Fitbit Versa UK range currently contains two main models, so let's look at those first before going through the main features: Fitbit Versa 3 features Active Zone Minutes. Active Zone Minutes help make every minute of your workout count by giving your wrist a buzz when entering your personalized target heart rate zone. This is an excellent feature for those that love heart-based training. There’s “Relax” for a start, which guides your breathing for intervals of up to ten minutes. You can either watch the small purple circle fill and empty to pace your breathing or, if you want to close your eyes, just feel out for the vibrations which will tell you when it’s time to breathe in and out. What sets Fitbit Versa 3 apart from Fitbit Versa 2 are some notable upgrades. The most notable is the built-in GPS in Fitbit Versa 3, opposed to connected GPS in Fitbit Versa 2. Built-in GPS is where it's at. You can use it during outdoor runs, rides, hikes, and workouts to see your pace and distance without your phone. Then, you can access maps of your workout routes in the Fitbit app. Fitbit has also changed the strap mechanism – the same as in the Fitbit Sense – and we think it’s better than the mechanism on the Versa 2. A small button acts as a latch, which when pulled slightly down releases the clasp. It gives the watch a much more streamlined look and makes it remarkably easy to swap out the default sporty strap it comes with.Whichever watch you buy, you’ll get both small and large bands in the box, and you can buy alternative designs if you feel like a change. The Versa 3 was released in September 2020. It costs a little more than the older model in the US and UK, and is substantially more expensive in Australia. On the right edge of the watch chassis is a tiny mic and a speaker which, in theory, should allow you to take calls. Additionally, the Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Ace have extra features such as stress management and monitoring, ECG, and it is designed for Kids respectively.

When you're done with setup, read through the guide to learn more about your new watch and then explore the Fitbit app.Fitbit boasts that the Versa 2 has over 4 days of battery life, but naturally that depends on usage and other external factors. A full charge from 0% to 100% should take around 2 hours.
