About this deal

Felix Lester, Kevin Blake, Alex Friend, Alex Gardiner, Federico Casali, Abdul Hassan, Alex Brenner, Alex Tanner Horowitz came up with the idea for the series when he thought about creating a teenage equivalent of James Bond. a b c Petski, Denise (10 November 2020). " 'Alex Rider' Renewed For Season 2 By IMDb TV". Deadline . Retrieved 10 November 2020. Would I recommend this book? Yes, I definitely do. Would I read another Alex Rider book? Well, I do have Book 1, Stormbreaker on a hold at the library. Alex's athletic talents greatly assist him during his missions many times: for example, in Point Blanc he snowboards down a mountain on an ironing board to escape Point Blanc Academy, in Skeleton Key he scuba dives into Skeleton Key, in Scorpia he base jumps into a factory, in Ark Angel he walks between two apartment buildings on a tightrope and in Snakehead, he kayaks down a river on a makeshift kayak.

This short story could possibly be considered AU (alternate universe) as Spectacles was killed in Ark Angel but this story appears to take place after the events of the novel, as the narrator comments near the beginning that Alex's kidnapping at the hands of the four men led him to "Ark Angel, the extraordinary space station orbiting the earth." Alex Rider: A Taste of Death (published in Secret Weapon as The Man With Eleven Fingers) [ ] Like most anthologies there are weaker contributions, but Alex Rider: Secret Weapon: Seven Untold Adventures from the Life of a Teenaged Spy seems like an exception. They were all rather well written and balance thrilling adventures rather evenly throughout the anthology and they were all written rather well. Alex Rider is an orphan turned teen superspy who’s saving the world one mission at a time—from #1 New York Times bestselling author! Skeleton Key was published in 2002. After foiling a Triad plot to fix the 2001 Wimbledon tennis tournament and befriending Sabina, Alex is in grave danger of assassination. Forced to leave the country, MI6 sends him on a mission to Cuba with two doubtful CIA agents, of whom he is the sole survivor. He encounters former Soviet general Alexei Sarov, who tries to adopt Alex and expresses ideas of a nuclear holocaust and world domination under communist rule. Alex then foils his plans saving the world for a third time. In December 2021, season 1 of Alex Rider was aired on E4 in the United Kingdom and became available on its streaming platform All 4.my favourites were probably Christmas at Gunpoint and Secret Weapon, but the man with eleven fingers was honestly quite fun too - and most of the short stories, even the ones that strayed a bit closer to the main books were a nice contrast to the generally grim and depressing story of the main line

The sniper’s bullet nearly killed him. But Alex Rider managed to survive . . . just in time for more trouble to come his way. When kidnappers attempt to snatch a fellow patient from the exclusive hospital where Alex is recovering, he knows he has to stop him. But the boy he saves is no ordinary patient: He is the son of Nikolai Drevin, one of the richest men in the world. The eccentric billionaire has been targeted by Force Three, a group of eco-terrorists who claim his project Ark Angel—the first luxury hotel in outer space—is a danger to the environment. Soon Alex discovers that Force Three will stop at nothing to destroy Ark Angel, even if it means sending four hundred tons of molten glass and steel hurtling down to Earth and killing millions . . . unless Alex can stop them.

Secret Weapon

I was super excited to read these extra adventures. Most of them take place in between the events of the first 4 books of the series, and some offer some fun extra information about Alex's life outside of the main stories, and even some interesting details about the side characters he interacts with throughout the series. I didn't feel this was as good as the later novels or short stories. Alex is kind of dim. I mean jeez how many hints can you get? And fair enough if he just decided not to ask but he didn't even seem to realise something was up with his uncle. 2 stars. This was just bad, bad, and bad on so many levels. An Alex Rider short story collection could be fun enough, but this was completely unecessary. Alex is a boy who works for MI6, the British international intelligence service. When fourteen years old, Alex was forced into this occupation after MI6 noticed Alex's many talents. He has not only worked for MI6, but also the CIA, Scorpia (in Scorpia), and the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (in Snakehead).
