About this deal

A very simplified (but well painted!) version of Blitzwing that has abandoned his triple changer aspect for simplicity's sake. Although this toy sports Blitzwing's "Icy" face, he transforms into "Hothead"'s tank mode. This TRANSFORMERS: LEGACY 5.5-inch DELUXE ELITA-1 robot toy is inspired by the animated series, The Transformers, updated with a Generations-style design. ELITA-1 bravely leads the resistance forces, standing fearless in the face of danger! The action figure converts from robot to Cybertronian car mode in 14 steps and comes with 2 Energon rifle accessories that attach in both modes.

This toy was only available in French McDonald's restaurants. Why they got this singular exclusive is anyone's guess. The front view wouldn't be terrible if those tank treads werent so...out there. Blitzwing was never a super trim jet, but this is ridiculous. Imagine trying to pose this on a figure stand? Blitzwing also has a minor misassembly problem, in that his upper arms are swapped. This is the reason his wings cannot press down flush with the rest of the jet fuselage. This can be fixed by pulling off his arms, unscrewing the one screw visible on either forearm, then separating the upper arms and switching them, which makes for a much-improved jet mode. While the robot mode is smaller than some current voyagers, it does feel heavier and is more solid all around compared to some of them. For example, it feels heavier and has more secure connections than the taller Legacy Jhiaxus.I wish the forearm covers tabbed into place. I also wish the thigh swivels weren’t as limited when the legs are raised high(they bump into to skirt plates). Wish the shoulder flaps could move beyond 90 degrees as they limit the shoulder rotation to just short of 90 degrees. EPIC MODES: Transformers action figure converts from robot to jet mode in 32 steps and from robot to tank mode in 41 steps. Features a rotating turret in tank mode

If I were to rate Blitz in a scale from 1- 10, he gets a solid 7.5. He's going to look great standing with his fellow Decepticon warriors. I'll be more likely to switch him to tank mode before jet mode. The bot mode saves this toy so much, as he's the best rendition of the character. Sadly, his cannons cannot tilt forward over his shoulders when in robot mode. Though promotional photos showed the figure with a gold traditional Decepticon insignia, the final toy used the movie variant in the tampograph. AWESOME ACCESSORIES: This Blitzwing toy for 8 year old boys and girls comes with a sword, 2 blasters, and 2 articulated missile launcher accessories that attach to the figure in both modes Later, Blitzwing asked Lugnut to help build a new Decepticon swimming pool, but the lunatic couldn't settle on where it should be located, forcing Lugnut to use his Punch of Kill Everything to create gigantic craters over and over and over. Explosive Fist Blitzwing not only has three modes (robot, jet, and tank), he also has three alternate personalities (an "Icy" cold strategist, a short-tempered "Hothead", and a total "Random" nutcase) along with the faces rattling around in his head to go with them. [1] He's as liable to have a conversation with himself as he is to say a word to his fellow Decepticons. Pretty much the only thing that keeps him in line is that all three of his personalities are scared to death of Megatron.

I still love Animated..Dont care whatcha say. I cant rate it. Yeah, Its kinda piss poor in some ways, but its also of extravagant quality of the animated toys, and all modes are just SO damn fun and cool looking. I mean..if you cant look at his tank mode..and not think "thats pretty cool" Then I dunno what to say..Its funky..but fun. Here it is: my last part of my review for Legacy Leader Class Blitzwing. Its time to focus on the much maligned "jet" mode.

Bot modes. I think Legacy edges it, but going by size I can see why people would find that hard to believe. Yes, Legacy is smaller, but the plastic is far more solid. He feels like a wall compared to Legends, which dues to his design and transformation always felt a little lighter than he should to me. Close one and I can see people landing on either side but for me it’s legacy. Let's not mince our words: Blitzwing really, really looks like Starscream. First off, his design is based on the classic Generation 1 Seeker body-type (which is used by multiple other characters in the film), but with vehicle kibble of an F-4 Phantom II instead of an F-15 Eagle. Second, he is wearing the classic red and greyish-white colors of the original Starscream. The third Studio Series Starscream looks very much like Blitzwing and features similar engineering, but shares little to nothing in the way of parts, though his head was used for Thrust in the same line. Now, if you extend the tank cannon and face it forward, it somehow improves the overall aesthetic....not by much, but at least it makes sense to have a weapon below to add some dangerous element to this flying whopper. Jet modes. The Legends toy wins this hands down. I mean…just look at them. No contest so I won't waste more words. NEXT. His German accent was a last-minute improvisation by voice actor Bumper Robinson, inspired by the character's name, that went on to influence his entire robot mode aesthetic; once Robinson had been cast in the role, Blitzwing was subsequently designed to "make him look really German", [3] with his helmet an obvious nod to a World War II-era Stahlhelm helmet and goggles. More acurately, it looks like a jet landed on a tank and squashed it...and it is now permanantly attached. This is where I look at TR Blitzwing and give it the win. Is it worse than T30? Im still on the fence...I mean...

Blitzwing was part of Megatron's band of Decepticons, chasing down the Autobots who had rediscovered the long-lost AllSpark. He was visibly frustrated (though he maintained his "Icy" persona) when Megatron along with the Autobots disappeared through a Space Bridge gate. The Cool Extra #3 Only think to know, is when transforming him there are some rectangle pegs that are really tough to peg in. Especially the knee parts. I was really afraid of breaking them when trying to force the pegs in.Prime 1 Studio Museum Masterline Blitzwing is a huge non-transforming sculpture. The statue is made of polystone along with other materials and features light-up LED eyes. Transformers: Legacy action figures are great kids’ toys and exciting collectibles for fans of all ages. The jet mode just does not look good from any angle. The original G1 toys was a Mig25 Foxbat, and this aint that, or even close. Here is another spot the designer should have said "WAIT..its getting out of hand..lets think of a way to do X" It looks like hes a duo-con with a tank under him. The plane is not impressive..it looks like a chibi egg plane.. Estimated ship date subject to change, items may ship earlier or later than anticipated without notice
