You have decided that you want to say good-bye to plastic packaging in the New Year. This two hour workshop will give you the tools you need to make this a lasting change in your life.Take a tour of our organic grocery and learn how to shop without creating landfill waste. Following from this, participate in a workshop that helps you avoid the traps of New Year's resolutions. Explore your intentions for a sustainable lifestyle and design a set-up that is realistic for your life. Discuss what might get in the way of your intentions, what you can do to overcome these barriers and how to manage your self-expectations when things don’t go quite to plan. The shop tour will be led by a member of our shop team who are our experts on all things loose, refilled and packaging free. The workshop will be facilitated by Kathy who spends most of her weekly hours working as one of our growers at Locavore’s Neilston site on the outskirts of Glasgow. Kathy has a background in art and design, finding her way into horticulture through growing natural dyes and working towards a permaculture design diploma. She was a core group member of Wake Up Glasgow, a mindfulness group for young adults, for around four years and trained to facilitate the Work that Reconnects on the programme lead by Kirsti Norris, Chris Johnstone and Jenny Mackewn in 2016. Her main interest is connecting people with the beauty and miracle of nature, as a means of inspiring people to engage in more sustainable choices.
