This is an amazing set, no doubt about it. MOP is Metallica’s high watermark. There’s so much stuff to enjoy here….. but then, that’s the same with the other sets. Is much cheaper than the "Allied" Pressing and you get the same sound quality. It's a bargain.

The extra bass of the version buried the instruments and especially the guitars and the "Cliff's" bass. Is like you listen some bigger atmosphere behind but it is not that. Is the extra bass that mess little the clarity of the album. The original album has much more separate instruments and more noticiable bass and guitars but also more thin sound. Overall a very expensive material but deserve the money to get one copy soon. This is the 2nd best version of the album in my opinion after the legendary "Columbia House" edition below.

James Hetfield – vocals, rhythm guitar, 1st guitar solo on "Master of Puppets", 2nd guitar solo on "Orion" Anyway when i get this version of the album i really impressed about the sound quality in the beginning. Was a better upgrade against my CDs. But over time i getting and other pressings and right now i'm not so impressed about this pressing.

CBS/SONY Japan Press. The sound is very clean and bright. But you miss the explosion and the power of one "DM Mastering" pressing or the Columbia house edition.
