I am a sucker for Sentinels, so getting another crack at the great figure they had in the library is something I welcomed, and if you did not get the MU version, this one should do nicely. Yes, just play with the Sentinel in bright light or shine a light above his head and his eyes glow an eerie, mutant killing red. While I wish that I did have the massive HasLab Sentinel from a few years back, that guy is so massive that I'm not sure where I'd display him. The girls toy aisles aren't our regular ball park but we occasionally like to try something different to our norm.

You will get absolutely no complaints out of me on that (let’s hope the Fantastic Four will follow suit), but just in case they get too cocky, the Hasbro team is sending in the big guns. Since the Sentinel is part of the Retro Series, the articulation is not far off from the Kenner five, though the head is on a balljoint and there are forearm swivels. It also comes with two Sentinel “tentacle” accessories, which attaches to the palms and is perfect to wrap around an unsuspecting Marvel Legends X-Men figure. Don’t worry, the electronic feature was not forsaken here, so you still get a variety of sound effects with this guy.

I have to admit, I like the brighter colors used here, but I like the extra paint detail in the older version better, so I am torn.
