Hatchimals have been around for a couple of years now and although they are incredible cute – the concept hasn’t changed much since they first came out – until Hatchimals Wow Llalacorn is released anyway! A fun part of knowing how to make your Hatchimals WOW work is knowing how to make it grow - it is quite a sight to see and the toy's main cool feature. When it is quiet and you make a loud noise for more than 2 seconds you will scare your Hatchimals Wow and it's eyes will turn blue.

Be careful not to squeeze the egg too much when you do this or the egg top could pop off before she’s ready to hatch! My eldest as per usual had seen some videos on YouTube and was telling me exactly how we would be hatching this exciting creature! My eldest did manage to do this BUT we both said we preferred the hatching process with the Hatchimals Hatchibabies. It can get hiccups with orange eyes or go cold with blue eyes but we didn’t see this before it hatched! The online videos demonstrate a number of fun games you can play with your Hatchimals WOW including Chase the Fruit, recording your voice, hypnotising your Hatchimal and tapping her to grow and POP.

We changed the batteries to a new set, as it is recommended after the first hatching and it still wasn’t doing anything.The first thing I would say here is that I would recommend you watch the Hatchimals online video instructions first – the leaflet in the pack is extremely detailed (and in multiple languages) and not very user friendly at all. Hatchimals WOW boasts the largest and first-ever re-hatchable Hatchimals egg and contains a Llalacorn, which is part unicorn, part llama (how cute is that? You can tilt it backwards and back to normal and to play but it’s eyes will go green (dizzy) and you need to hold upright and comfort. Unlike other Hatchimals products, Hatchimals WOW’s hatching process is quite unique – in that it can be done over and over again. Nested inside a re-hatching egg, the Hatchimals WOW Llalacorn has a neck that can grow up to 32 inches tall and shrink down completely on its own, and comes in one of two colours – pink or purple.

The eyes on our Hatchimals WOW have stopped glowing or changing colour, so I am not entirely sure ours is working correctly. Unlike other Hatchimals we have reviewed in the past, Hatchimals WOW has the ability to be placed back in the egg and hatch again, each time waking up in one of 10 different moods. The girls were VERY excited when they first saw the giant egg and couldn’t wait to get started in hatching their Llalacorn!We've put together a little video showcasing all the tricks that the Hatchimals Wow can do - it really is good fun when you know what you are doing! The Llalacorn is also supposed to “chase the fruit”, growing up as she reached for her strawberry, and coming back down as you move it lower. As mentioned above, the Hatchimals WOW Llalacorn has over 250 sounds and reactions, and there is no right or wrong way to play. You can’t cuddle it and be close to it when you are playing with it, as it has to be on a flat surface.
