About this deal

Und schließlich Sadie: Das Buch war durchzogen von Situationen, in denen ihr Verhalten gänzlich unlogisch, unüberlegt oder unmenschlich wirkte. Her daughter, Robin, is struggling to get anyone to talk to her at the exclusive Ashams school, while the mothers at the gate are equally unfriendly to Sadie.

While it wasn't one of those books that completely blew me away, it did enough to keep me guessing and intrigued throughout, which is becoming rather difficult to do it seems. Harriet Tyce grew up in Edinburgh and studied English at Oxford University before a law conversion course at City University. It's spare and taut, the sense of wrongness building in chilling, skilfully written layers, with a jaw dropping last line twist. And she can't tell her the truth about the school Robin's set to start at - a school that doesn't welcome newcomers. I hadn't heard anything about the book or the author but I am always ready to give a thriller a try and I liked the sound of this one.My Thoughts: As The Lies You Told begins, we meet Sadie and her daughter Robin, starting over in London, with Robin enrolled in the same school that Sadie had attended as a child. This was one of those books that I found really hard to put down since it kept me guessing until the very end. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a lightening-paced mystery/suspense/thriller you can race through in just a couple of sittings!

As she struggles to remember everything, Marisa closes in on a killer—without realizing that he’s already closed in on her. The story is very focused on Y/N but her relationship with Mattheo is additionally very important to the plot and storyline. There is quite a cast of totally twisted, unforgettable characters, forever branded in the memory banks, who you definitely wouldn't ever want to meet again, and who you would probably go out of your way to avoid at all costs, given their reprehensible behaviour. I have only just released that final breath I have been holding since reading the last couple of pages of this amazing story - and I still can't take in and believe what has actually happened! I felt like I was reading and reading and nothing was happening except conjectures and character backstories. But the tide starts to turn as Sadie begins to work on a scandalous, high-profile case that’s the perfect opportunity to prove herself again, even though a dangerous flirtation threatens to cloud her professional judgment. There is beauty in the death of love; it hides in the mistakes that you know you’ll never make again. A couple of the characters are really reprehensible and the ending was nowhere near as conclusive as I wanted it to be. If you are ever at an impasse about whether to be honest or lie, use these honesty quotes about telling the truth to point you in the right direction. THE LIES YOU TOLD The absolutely addictive new thriller from Harriet Tyce, author of Sunday Timesbestseller and Richard and Judy Book Club pick BLOOD ORANGE.

So, The Lies You Told may not win any prizes for originality ,I greatly enjoyed the book and happily raced through it on my day off.Sadie may be keeping her friends close, but what she doesn't know is that her enemies are closer still. Eugenie and Alidoro, Part 2 (Hotel Krat and Relic of Trismegistus) Alidoro will admit that he’s an impostor and a murderer. After she meets with an almost fatal road accident in Jan 2022, she suffers partial amnesia that leaves her disoriented and with a constant feeling of someone watching her.
