Be inspired by the imaginations of the artist and makers of the Celtic Revival movement in this fascinating evening talk.This lecture provides an introduction and background to the Celtic Revival exploring both its roots in history and culture and its iconography and mythology. The talk will also highlight the significant roles played by Patrick Geddes and artist John Duncan, and their collaboration in this movement in Edinburgh.Speaker: Katja RobinsonKatja Robinson has a Masters in Victorian Art and Literature from Reading University and worked for several years in picture archives in London before moving to Edinburgh in 2005.Since being here she has worked for the National Galleries of Scotland and was assistant librarian at Edinburgh University's Art & Architecture Library for 8 years. Katja has taught art history adult education classes for both university and council in Edinburgh since 2007 and is currently the editor of The Pre-Raphaelite Society Review, the journal of the international society for the study of the lives and art of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
