Rosalind, Wounded Bear + Rosemary Milne - Forest Cafe - Edinburgh

Join York and Leeds based folk singer-songwriters Rosalind and Wounded Bear for an evening of intimate acoustic music as part of their first UK Tour together. Expect collaboration between the artists as they share the music they have worked on alone and together over the past year. Glimpses of a dark Joni Mitchell and lashes of Scott Matthew’s lyricism, Rosalind has an impressive year of shows behind her, all in anticipation of a debut release.2019 saw Rosalind collaborate with the likes of Benjamin Francis Leftwich, notably providing the second vocal on newest release ‘Elephant’, and joining Josh as backing vocalist in Wounded Bear on the Scandinavian tour. She has shared the stage with critically-acclaimed artists Sam Amidon, Rose Cousins, and Cattle and Cane. Following a busy year, 2020 has seen Rosalind work with award winning producer Matt Ingram (Florence & The Machine, The Staves) towards the release of a debut single and looks forward to her first UK Tour.FFO: Lisa Hannigan, Rosie Carney, Billie Marten, Adrianne Lenker, Scott Matthews.“Scorchingly brilliant... After releasing his debut E.P, ‘A Calm Night for a Bullfight’, Josh caught the eye of Benjamin Francis Leftwich whom he supported on tour in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm last May. Since then, among many other shows, Josh has played the Norwegian Festival, 'Indie Fjord', supported the folk rock group 'Bailen' at St Pancras Old Church in London and is currently planning his first UK tour. Josh's music has been played on both BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio York and shortly after the E.Ps release; Ear to the Ground Music included Josh in their list of 'songwriters that could change your life'. “Secrets stopped me in my tracks to the point where I listened to it continuously about eight times.” - Jericho Keys - BBC Radio York"He has a rich, deep voice which enticingly draws you into his songs, most of which weave wonderful stories through their sometimes intricately clever lyrics." - Just a hint of Mayhem review+ support from Rosemary Milne
