About this deal

The MAKITA DC18RC has a cooling fan that blows cool air into the battery. A digital power display identifies the condition of the battery and charging condition. Their HQ is in Japan. Their Telford manufacturing plant is the only full-production facility for power tools in the UK and has been successfully running construction on many of our top line cordless power tools since 1991. The Makita 18V Li-ion Cordless Impact Driver, DTD171, offers users four speed settings, as well as 4 specifically designed fastening modes for optimum control. The impact drivers electronic controls find the best balance of speed and torque for each application for more efficient fastening. The 4-speed power selection switch provides the user with precise fastening control for a range of applications, from cabinet screws to lag bolts. The DTD170Z is another very highly rated, high-end cordless impact driver thats powered by 18 V Lithium-ion battery. It features a six mode operation for A-Mode/T-Mode/Max/Hard/Medium/Soft impact mode for multiple applications. At twice the price of the entry model you get a more powerful, brushless motor that is more suited to a professional user that needs that bit extra power and will use the drive much more regularly.

This is a new Makita impact driver and is the first of the entry models to come with a brushless motor. Most people believe that it is worth spending that bit extra to get brushless and I have to agree, it's well worth it.Increased max clutch torque enables to adjust clutch torque even when tightening fasteners into hard material Works with all power tools that feature a yellow connector plate or has a star on the connector plate TD110DZ Impact Driver features electric brake, variable speed control trigger, forward and reverse gear All metal gear construction• Durable metal gear housing for extra-high transmission durability• Twin LED job light withpreglowandafterglow functions This Makita impact driver is the new entry level model. It has 155nm of power and just the basics features but don't be mistaken, this is still a great driver.

Makita believe that for a good tool you need a good motor, and Makita makes every effort to make sure our motors are of the best quality. Makita reserves the right to change specification of products without notice. Standard equipment and specifications may differ from country to country. Some products published here may not be sold in your country. The contents of the leaflets can be different from current products since they are original. The ToolShed is an authorised dealer of Makita tools. All products come with a full New Zealand manufacturers warranty. For me, the biggest plus for this tool is the price. You don't have to buy a battery and charger and if you are starting off then this makes this model very attractive for buyers. You don't get all the bells and whistles of the best rated DTD171Z model but this is an excellent unit and I think it's a bargain price and the best all round value, for what you get. Absolutely perfect as your first impact driver They use premium grade steel to produce armature shafts and gears, and only steel of the highest grade is used. If you can just forget all about the specs for a minute, I can tell you that you are entering the world of superb quality tools. Each and every Makita impact driver that we have rated here feels perfectly balanced and weighted in your hand. They are rugged, powerful, reliable and will be a tool for life that you will love using. They will never let you down.

Compact design / lighter with an overall length 27mm shorter and 100gm lighter than the current modelEven at that, it's still an amazing price for a premium tool that is top quality and likely to last a lifetime.
