About this deal

In the case of a replacement KONG Running will pay for the post of the new item to be sent out and a refund will be issue for the cost of sending the item back. If you’re regular running is road, you’re going to notice a different feel when you don some fell shoes. It is hard to be exact here, as sizing is so personal – but in hiking boots, running shoes or training shoes, we’d recommend having at least 1cm of extra space beyond the end of the longest toe to ensure comfort. I wouldn’t want to run a road marathon or predominantly hard packed trails, however off trail it was still comfortable at mile 25, some 5 1/2 hours on the move. In direct comparison to Salming Elements, they are the clear winner and you can tell inov-8 remain true to their fell running roots.

If you fancy a change from roads or trail you’re going to need to swap those road shoes for some full on fell shoes if you want to stay on your feet! The Inov8 Mudclaw 300 shouldn’t need a product description, as it is pretty much THE fell running shoe. For a quick thrash around local trails, I’d be looking for something lighter, but for a big day out they are fine. Perfect for running in the fells and mountains when the terrain is Muddy and the ultimate in grip is needed.A light and comfortable shoe, dries quickly after getting wet and will get you out of trouble when you most need it! Alternatively, you can measure the length of your foot and add between 1 and 2cm to find the correct insole length. Dual-C Outsole - Made up of two types of sticky rubber, the Dual-C outsole provides optimal traction across a myriad of surfaces.

The multidirectional stud pattern ensures mud is released quickly from the outsole, so the studs are always able to deliver maximum grip with every step. Firstly the studs will feel different but you’ll be glad for them, they’re going to grip and help stop you face planting. I was in x-talons, so I couldn't comment on that), and on the odd occasion that I've been running over the hills and traversing, I can say that I sometimes feel that. The rand that wraps around the shoe’s upper and toe bumper ensure outstanding protection against stones and other debris.Even when fully saturated they feel light in comparison to other shoes I’ve run in, a testament to their ability to shed water and the upper fibres ability to release water.

I found that the 12 (my normal size) were cripplingly small, my toes horribly crunched up in front, as well as the midfoot a little pinched. and the compound feels very flexible when you run on harder surfaces- I wonder just how long the grip is going to last. I have long been a fan of the 212 ( here) but when running longer I found it just a little too minimal. The Inov-8 Mudclaw 300 Classic builds on one of the most popular fell running shoes we've ever come across.

My daily training run has 1-mile of road out and back and I have been using the Mudclaw 300 on a regular basis. When I got home I looked at the shoe, re-laced it and then the following day went out and ran the same 8-mile loop. but if laced correctly (try this), pulled tight and double knotted your foot should feel super secure; my feet were!I spent the day running around in them, capturing the race and then put them away, as the majority of my year was taken up riding off road instead. First impression of the 300's (other than the incredible yellowness) is that the fore-foot seems a lot wider than any other mudclaw I have ever worn.
