About this deal

There is one kind-hearted, sensible, character, a school teacher. She has an exaggerated sense of how wonderful she is, but she is fun to watch. WWII has ended, but Henry is fighting his own battles. He misses his father who died a war hero, and his only distraction is the cinema. When Henry develops an old camera film he uncovers a mystery and events spiral until his life resembles the drama of his beloved big screen. Like a bomb waiting to explode, Henry’s world is about to unravel . . . Henry, aged 14, lives with his mother, stepfather, half-sister and grandmother in a British coastal town in 1949. Nobody has many luxuries because it is only four years since the end of the Second World War. Food is still rationed and everyone has to work very hard. The detail about everyday life in the late 1940s has been very well-researched for this book. Henry is struggling to come to terms with the death of his father, a war hero and, according to Henry’s paternal grandmother, all round nice guy. Then Henry mysteriously receives his dad’s medal in the post and starts asking questions — getting answers he’s not always happy to hear. It’s not nearly as heavy as you would think for all those extras. It isn’t expensive, it doesn’t make much noise.

Imagine my surprise, when just as I was about to get off, I heard someone call out and I turned to find the young man heading in my direction. Add to that all the usual benefits of the Henry range such as 9 litre capacity, a sturdy frame and reliable, long-lasting performance and you have the perfect addition for any pet lover’s home. There are different aspects of Henry vacuums that come with a class rating. Energy Efficiency is one, suction another. There may be more. As a general rule, Class A is the best you can buy. A Traditional Henry has an Energy Class A rating, for example. Other Considerations to Make Before Buying a Henry Vacuum Cleaner

In the dry it has a hefty storage capacity of 15 litres and a wide range of attachments means it can switch effortlessly between different tasks. It really is a vacuum which can rise to meet just about every challenge you can think of. You would expect him to be cheaper than a regular Henry. Does extra storage space make up the extra in cost? He offers two useful features. The first is a dual purpose hairo-brush which is fantastic for scrubbing off stubborn pet hairs and other stains, the second is a carbon filter designed to combat unpleasant smells. The MicroFresh filter activated charcoal filter will minimise the bad smells your pets can create. The hoses only give an extra metre or two in terms of extra reach. However, the cord winds out for up to 26 metres, which is the average length a Henry vacuum cleaner can stretch to. If you own a flat, the Henry will be able to clean the whole place without you having to unplug and move. Energy Efficiency

I found this a bit hard to get into at first, mainly Henry is a bit of a twit at the start, but as the story went on you could see how his Gran's malevolent influence had brainwashed him. He slowly started to see that she was wrong about various things, and as he started to realise just how awful she really was the plot began to get more and more interesting - I was really gripped by about a third of the way through, and raced through it. After her parents’ divorce Olivia (Megan Stott) is feeling anxious and overwhelmed. It doesn’t help that her new house — her mother’s childhood home — is seriously creepy. Soon, her fears are realised when she comes face to face with a masked, hulking humanoid who then vanishes. Olivia and her neighbour Graham (Elisha Henig) team up to solve the mystery of the masked monster. An additional versatility with the Henry range are the bags. You can use the same set of bags throughout the majority of their machines. The wet and dry, the pet hair, and the larger models all use a one-size-fits-all-capacities bag. It makes it easier to shop. Durability & Reliability

A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach. Harry is a lot like his older brother Henry except he’s been design specifically for pet lovers. So, if you have a few four-legged friends running around this could be for you. Lily Renton (Izabela Vidovic) is the star of her school’s Quiz Bowl Team but she longs to be like the pretty celebrities and popular schoolmates she admires. She wishes, just once, someone would think of her as beautiful rather than smart. Her wish comes true when a substitute teacher introduces her to an invite-only beauty app that magically transforms her appearance. However, there are consequences so Lily must decide what’s really important in life. Just Henry is a 2011 television film by ITV [1] [2] [3] based on the 2008 Costa Book Award novel, Just Henry by Michelle Magorian. [4] Plot [ edit ] Henry’s little sister is Hetty. She comes with all the same features as Henry, but the introduction of Eco technology helps you to save the planet and your wallet at the same time. A smaller size means she’s easier to store, but a 9-litre bag capacity, means there’s plenty of dust storage room.Yes, certain models are able to clean things like your drains, standing water, or any spillages in the kitchen or bathroom. The Charles and the George are both made to be wet and dry vacuum cleaners. While the George also cleans carpets and upholstery, the Charles is able to sook up spillage without exploding. I have allergies. Do Henry have a vacuum cleaner I can use?

Perhaps the most famous Henry of all right now is Prince Harry – yep his given name is actually Henry but he has always been known as Harry by his family and friends. Middle names to go with Henry One evening while waiting at a small railway station accompanied by my younger son, the kind of station where if you screamed no one would hear your cries, I noticed we had company, a tall young man in a hoodie who kept himself to himself. He was sitting on a bench under the shelter. When the train pulled in we stepped into different carriages. The storage is something you don’t realise you need from a vacuum cleaner. When you finally get it, you wonder how you lived without it all these years. The next morning, Henry's grandmother informs Bill over the breakfast table despite Maureen's protestations. Bill believes Maureen has hidden this information because she is ashamed that he is working class and poor. She assures him that this is not the case. Henry runs into his father on the street, who offers to take him under his wing in a nebulous, presumably nonexistent or illegal family business. Henry attempts to apologise to Grace, and Grace meets with Mrs Beaumont looking for advice on how to help Henry. The Henry range have tremendous amounts of colour to them – but only one (very distinctive) style. If it has that big happy face, if the nose is the vacuum hose, and if it perpetually, moronically, and frustratingly never stops grinning? It’s a Henry.

Henry Quick

The “pictures” were important for a nation still struggling with rationing and austerity. The cinemas were luxurious compared with most homes, and what went on in them is covered in enormous detail. In the company of Henry and his friends, we see such masterpieces as John Ford’s She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and there’s a splendid scene where our protagonists leave the cinema singing “New York, New York” from On the Town at the tops of their voices. The main adjective to describe Magorian’s work is “generous”. She doesn’t stint in any department, being as lavish with her emotions and characters as any 40s film-maker. The book will encourage young readers to question their own views while being involved in a really good story. Michelle Magorian uses the structure and style of books from that period and shifts the sensibilities for a modern audience. Great stuff. Have Questions about Henry, Hetty, Charles, George – or any other vacuums? We may already have the answer… What’s the best Henry for my small home or outhouse? As we go through the book, Henry makes new friends along the way, so we soon get a nice little gang to follow. There are Pip and Jeffries - his friends from school, Grace – the young girl who shares his love of cinema and Mrs. Beaumont – a woman who he meets, because she helps him get into A-rated films, where he needs an adult to accompany him. Okay, so I'm being anachronistic, but every time Henry's malevolent grandmother is onstage, George Thorogood's 'Bad to the Bone' played in my head. She's one nasty piece of work, and if not the Nastiest Fictional Grandmother Ever, certainly a major contender.
