About this deal

This style is a good choice for athletes looking to ride inside as its shape matches the profile of a cyclist. Sometimes tower fans aren’t as powerful, but they do have excellent coverage and often good noise levels. Floor fan

Of course, as I said above – to each their own. If you get the fan, I have no doubt you’ll enjoy it (I liked using it too). But if you just buy that crazy power strip and four smaller fans…I suspect you’ll be pretty happy with that too. Whatever floats your boat. Actually, there is one more thing to say: Be sure to watch the video up above. We broke out a smoke machine: There’s really not much more to say about the Headwind – frankly it works perfectly. The app reconnects exactly as expected each time I come near it to start riding, and it responds without issue. From a technology standpoint, Wahoo has nailed this. That’s not super surprising from Wahoo, but it’s worth noting that Wahoo actually partners with a company that has deep fan/cooling experience for the manufacturing of this. Thus with that manufacturer having many years in this space, that’ll hopefully reduce any hiccups that might come from a bike company trying to make a cooling device. Meanwhile, the idea behind the speed/trainer pairing is that you can replicate going faster into a headwind (get it?), by pairing it to the speed of the trainer. As you go down a hill you’ll feel the wind in your face (or crotch), and vice-versa going uphill. Of course, most of us work harder going uphill, so most of us want that cooling there instead – real world realities be damned. It's only suited to bathrooms that are no more than 45 square feet, but if you have a small bathroom or powder room and don't want to spend much on an exhaust fan, then this easily installed model from Broan is worth considering. Note that it's designed to work with 3-inch ducts, so you'll need an adapter if your house has 4-inch ducts. The fan moves air at 50 CFM, and it is very efficient at removing humidity and odors from small bathrooms. You can install it over a shower or tub if desired. The front of the fan includes an intuitive, easy to use LED touch panel. Users can see which fan function is active by viewing the multicoloured LED indicator, as well as customising the fan’s functions and boost speeds using the touch menu. Given this is a new category for me, I’m going to do my best to redefine it. Which essentially means I’m going to try and keep it nice and tidy. I mean, obviously I’ll have to buy a fancy smoke machine and compare things at the hardware store. Plus I bought like 5 gallons of fake smoke. But those are all baseline for any sort of fan in-depth review.

This comes in handy especially if you have strobe light setting available on your Bluetooth bathroom fan model because this means you can literally bring the party anywhere. The fan comes with a magnetic front cover that features four small magnets to allow the fan to compliment any bathroom. And thus we’re ready to talk about controls. You’ve got exactly five ways you can control the Headwind fan: Will comply with Building Regulation Parts F and L if installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and by a competent person.

Like Ray said – it’s not necessary (just like the Wahoo desk isn’t), but everyone who buys one loves it. Kinda like smart trainers at the start…

Unlike the regular bathroom ventilation fans that most bathrooms typically come with, Bluetooth bathroom fans provide you with extra features to make bath time an all the more amazing experience for you and your family. While there are a million shapes and sizes, we’ve listed a few common types below to help you find your best fan for cycling indoors: Tower fanMichael Golubev, the CEO of Mold Busters, says "Good ventilation is crucial in bathrooms to remove excess moisture and odors. Without proper ventilation, moisture can accumulate on surfaces, leading to mold growth, paint peeling, and even structural damage over time. By removing excess moisture, you're creating an environment where mold spores can't easily multiply. This also helps in reducing allergens in the air, contributing to better indoor air quality." The fan provides up to 110 CFM of airflow, making it suited to bathrooms up to 110 square feet, where it will efficiently whisk away humidity and odors. At 1.5 sones, which is the equivalent of moderate rainfall, it's a quiet fan as well. An integrated LED light gives you 600 lumens of illumination, making it easy to apply cosmetics or other bathroom tasks, and there's two nightlight options: cool blue or warm amber light. On the downside, the fan does require attic access for installation, as well as a neutral wire connection for the separate wall switch that controls the fan and its lights, so there's a good chance you'll need an electrician to install it. Although this is a round exhaust fan, the housing is square and won't require touching up your drywall if you already had a square fan of the same size. Unfortunately, not all fans come with a decibel rating, but unless you’re comfortable wearing headphones while you train or (God forbid!) listening to nothing at all, expect some noise ranging from 35dB to 100dB+ depending on the setting, the model, and where you place it. Figuring out a fan is loud or not isn’t a simple science, as there are tons of factors that go into how much sound they’ll create, but there are a few fans that are made for those who seek silence—or . Bladeless fans are often low in decibel output, and expect a large box-style shop fan to be louder than something made for the home. What’s the best type of fan for indoor cycling? This does NOT require any Wahoo sensors. It works with any ANT+ heart rate strap, any ANT+ speed sensor, or any ANT+ FE-C trainer. Why not BLE sensors? Well, that channel is reserved for the headwind to talk to your phone. Then you might ask, why not multichannel? The answer there: Soon. Next, that app also allows you to control the fan speed without any sensors at all by just using the little slider to set a specific value. This is actually the mode I’ve used most. Simple and effective.

One of the more interesting points of Bluetooth bathroom fans is probably the fact that they can serve as entertainment for your bathroom, making showering or simply getting ready in the morning a more exciting and entertaining moment to set the right mood for the day. This Energy Star certified fan is easiest to install if you have access to the attic, although it is possible to carry out the task without overhead access if absolutely necessary. This is also a good choice for other areas in your home that could use some fresh air and venting, such as a laundry room or basement. When installed in areas other than bathrooms, the fan is powerful enough to work in a space up to 250 square feet. ANT+, sure, not a problem – I have my stuff communicating over ANT+ to my 935 and Edge 520 simultaneously all the time. (Which is why I haven’t bothered setting up that TrueUp thing; the 520 becomes basically a display-only head unit, and the 935 is the definitive data source for physiological metrics, such as recovery time, etc., etc.) But BLE… I’m sure Wahoo aren’t stupid, but I’m puzzled by this. (Yeah, okay, they’re not doing BLE HR sensors yet, but it’s in the pipeline…)

And then speaking of Zwift drafting… would it/will it change slightly when you start drafting? That’d be AWESOME.
