OTHELLO'S SISTER workshop - The Maypole - Derby

If you identify as Black, British and female, artist Lauren Nicole Whitter wants you to come to her workshop and create your own piece of writing, theatre or spoken-work performance.The workshop takes place on Wednesday 15 January 2020, 6-8pm, at the Maypole Theatre Bar and Cafe, 42 Brook Street, Derby DE1 3PH. There is no charge to take part.At the workshop, Lauren will create a safe space for you to express yourself freely, share what theatre and stories mean to you, and take part in creative activities that spark off storytelling.By the end of the workshop, you will have a short story in the form of a piece of writing or performance to keep or share.You will have the opportunity to share your story in front of a supportive audience before Lauren's scratch performance of Othello's Sister at The Maypole on Friday 22 January at 7.30pm (click here for more details).This workshop is for people who identify as Black, British and female.There's no charge to participants and there is no booking - just turn up.
