About this deal
The quality of relationship and the opportunity to encourage a pupil’s reflective thinking are probably the most important success factors in ELSA work. This support is probably better focussed on individual pupil needs as it affords the opportunity to help the pupil reflect on personal underlying factors contributing to their own stress. Generally, this will require some creative thinking and planning, with the use of imaginative resources. Each service provider is responsible for maintaining a local register of practising ELSAs and will remove from their register any person no longer fulfilling the role requirements as detailed above.
