It was a rigorous and detailed process which showed us how we can do more to live up to the B Corp commitment. By shining a light on how we work, it confirmed what we already knew – we’re far from perfect!

We are past the time when any business can simply ask its employees to leave their values and humanity at home, and no business can any longer afford year after year to pursue minor incremental efficiencies while foregoing opportunities to help the environment rather than deplete it. In 2017, fuelled by a passion for sailing, love for rum and the expectation that the popularity of Rum was soon to increase the same way as Gin previously, Philip and the family chose to begin their Rum journey. March - International Women's Day, a day to honour and celebrate the achievements of women and highlight the issues they face globally. Finally, to complete the certification, we have legally embedded our commitment to purpose beyond profit into our company articles.
