Windstar Cruises is a luxury travel brand operating a fleet of smaller-sized ships (mega-yachts) with capacity up to 340 passengers. The company call at 150 ports throughout the Caribbean, Central America, South Pacific, Asia, Europe. Currently, Windstar is a subsidiary of Xanterra Parks and Resorts (USA's largest national and state park concession management company). In November 2016 Windstar announced a return to Asia (for the first time in 3 years), deploying in the region Star Legend for winter 2017-2018. The Asian program included exotic itineraries leaving from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to ports in South Korea and Japan. Paul, E. Methods. We developed a method for systematically extracting the RC stars from a 2MASS ( J− K s, J) colour-magnitude diagram of 1°×1° bins in ℓ× b, covering the range 40°≤ ℓ≤320° and −10°≤ b≤10°. 2MASS data continue to be important because we are able to identify and trace the RC stars to much farther distances than in any optical survey of the Galactic disc. The foreground star contamination in the selected sample was removed using the accurate astrometric data from Gaia EDR3. We analysed the spiral arms and asymmetry in the Galaxy above and below the Galactic plane in galactocentric coordinates. The 1992-built (as "Royal Viking Queen") and acquired in 2015 from Seabourn (as "Seabourn Legend"), the Star Legend cruise ship is the third and last of all three identical superyachts in the Windstar fleet - together with Star Pride (Seabourn Pride) and Star Breeze (Seabourn Spirit).

Windstar's "Star Plus" project increased the fleet's capacity by 24%. The project (completed in 2021 October) resulted in bigger capacity (254 to 320 passengers, 140 to 190 crew), increased GT tonnage/volume (9975 to 12995 tons), increased length (134 to 159 m), more staterooms (106 to 156), adding new venues and public spaces, machinery upgrades (new Wartsila marine diesel engines). The project was scheduled for the period October 2019 through November 2020, at Fincantieri's shipyards in Palermo (Sicily Island, Italy) and Trieste (Italy). Star Legend itinerary program is based on Mediterranean cruises with departures from ports mainly in France, Italy, Spain. In Northern Europe, the Windstar Legend ship cruises in the Baltic Sea on Norwegian Fjords itineraries and to Iceland leaving from Denmark and the UK.
