About this deal

We broke down the testing into six keys areas to ensure every aspect of the pram was looked at thoroughly: I used an Out nAbout Nipper Sport from birth - it's my only buggy. If you like running, it's a better model than the 360" - Mumsnet user, Cornishmumofone As it’s a pram designed for city life, the wheels are small and great over flat ground, but are heavy to push on rougher terrain. But with good quality fabric that can be removed for machine-washing, it’s a functional and affordable option that most families will love.

Very impressed with it considering the price. It's used daily on rough, hilly moorland and no issues yet" - Mumsnet user, IamnotwhouthinkIam Our verdictMountain Buggy ones are good and totally indestructible. Ours is 15+ years old and has been passed from one offroad walking/jogging family to the next" - Mumsnet user, parentsvsPIL When it comes to the best double buggies, there's a huge range of different designs to consider, including basic side-by-side pushchairs, tandem prams, sturdy off-roaders and lightweight strollers for whizzing round cities, putting in the car boot and for taking on holiday. We’ve tried so many double buggies but have found the Mountain Buggy Duet to be our favourite” - recommended by Mumsnet user, river12 Our verdict I would have liked if the handle bar could be adjusted to the other side so that it could be rear and forward facing. I like having the option of interacting with them when there isn't much to see or when they are upset and need comforting. I can imagine it would also be nicer for twin babies as the mum could face them and keep an eye on them. Tested by mum Katie Myers for the M&B Awards 2017: It is a brilliant pushchair and even when dd1 was 6-7 and having a moment, she could sit in it and be pushed around. Massive seat" - recommended by Mumsnet user, user1471530109 Our verdict

Suitable from: Birth to 25kg (around five years) | Weight: 12.9kg | Folded dimensions: 93 x 63 x 39 cm | Harness type: 5-point | Adjustable handlebar: Yes What we like I think it was really good value for money and you got a good quality pram that was easy to use. I like that both seats can be reclined fully and I liked how far the hoods came over. Also looking online you can get carrycots to fit in to it so it is suitable from birth, my children are a bit old for these now. This makes the life span of the pram long and possibly the only pram you may need to buy. The only thing that would have put me off buying this pram is that you couldn't fit a car seat on and so you might have to wake a sleeping baby but once the child or children are passed that age it would be the best pram in my opinion. No one pram can have everything and I imagine making it big enough for a car seat may spoil some other features. Tested by mum Julie Wakeford for the M&B Awards 2017: The Little Nipper Double didn't stop me doing any of my usual tasks. I could get it on and off the bus quite easily. We took the Little Nipper Double to the park and I was quite surprised how easily it was to push on the grass and on the gravel. When my granddaughter fell asleep I was able to lay her seat completely flat which I liked as it was more comfortable for her.Double prams can be very bulky and generally measure up to around 82cm in width. But with standard external doorways measuring around 76 to 96cm, most double buggies will fit through doors. However, there are slimmer options available that will cope with most small spaces. The buggy comes with everything you need to get out and about with two children. The carrycot converts to a seat after six months so there’s no need to buy extra seats or store a bulky carrycot. Safety features: A five-point harness ensures that your child is securely fastened into the pram seat when out and about on a run. Most running buggies feature a handbrake making it easier to slow down than having to use a foot brake. The Thule Urban Glide 2 comes with an integrated twist handbrake that can help control speed when jogging up and down steep hills. One of the biggest factors when considering what pram to choose is how much you want to spend. Double buggies can be expensive, but you don’t have to spend over the odds to get a decent model. We love ours. The main selling point for us is that it converts into a double pram as we don't want a long gap between children.” - Mumsnet user Our verdict

Perfect come rain or shine, the Nipper V4 Double features a retractable sun canopy with a peek-a-boo window and a rain cover to keep your little one away from the elements. As well as this, a quilted and colour coded seat liner is included to add additional comfort and support.Despite being small and lightweight, the iCandy Peach 7 has been designed with quality in mind, with plush seats and a cosy carrycot lining that small babies will enjoy. The folding mechanism is fairly simple to get to grips with and, when folded, the buggy is compact and easy to store, both in a car boot and at home.
