About this deal

Often during pregnancy, we prepare for childbirth. but forget to prepare for the postnatal period. This class offers you the chance to think ahead to your first days and weeks of motherhood. The postnatal preparation class is a 3 hour class which can be undertaken during the latter stages of pregnancy (around 37 weeks, once you have started your maternity leave). This postnatal preparation class is just for you, the expectant mum, to take the time to make the adjustments you will need to make so that you feel prepared, relaxed and calm about becoming a mother.

Study: The impact of antenatal hypnobirthing on maternal psychological well-being. Reference: Kerry RM, Devine PC. Journal: Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. 2016;36(4):370-374.If you have done the live training with me you are mentored, and supported and you get further access to continuing CPD. Hypnobirthing is a combination of education, mindfulness, deep relaxation and self-hypnosis which helps achieve a more comfortable birth. We aim to give mums and their birth partners the tools they need to minimise the fear-tension-pain cycle, resulting in shorter and more comfortable births. This Mindful Hypnobirthing teacher training is unlike any other, or so I’ve been told! I see many practitioners coming from other methods, who love the mindfulness aspect as well as the flexibility of the course. It plays to your strengths. Hypnobirthing Teacher Training that brings together mindfulness and hypnosis We keep our mindful hypnobirthing classes small so you will rarely find that a class has over three to four individuals or three to four pairs. This helps us to hold a nurturing space where you can relax and feel comfortable. During hypnobirthing sessions,we want to encourage you to be able to ask questions freely and to process any thoughts you have, and it’s much easier to do that in smaller group. Benefits of attending mindful hypnobirthing classes

There is a very subtle difference in the philosophy of this class that builds on my experience as a hypnotherapist, in clinic and as a doula in the birth room. I know what works! If you would like to book a zoom class with friends, then the price will be subject to a reduction per couple. This can be done with up to 5 couples. Mindful Hypnobirthing is different from any other hypnobirthing class? We are the first class in the UK to combine mindfulness and hypnosis in a very unique and powerful format. Sophie Fletcher and Mia Scotland built this course afresh, and as clinicians they were in a position to create something totally new and practical based on sound psychological principles. Ongoing support from your teacher via WhatsApp for any questions or emotional support that you may need along the way

Hypnobirthing in the UK

My labour was 1.5h only, pain free without any pain relief…Midwife asked me how did I do it, I told her ‘ I read the book’… They laughed as they thought I was joking, but I do put it down to this book. It was my first child, and I had major fear about giving birth, but techniques from this book really made a difference and my labour experience was enjoyable and great memory!” Hypnobirthing offers expectant parents in the UK a unique approach to childbirth, focusing on relaxation, empowerment, and positive birth experiences. By utilising self-hypnosis techniques and gaining knowledge about the birthing process, parents can reduce fear and anxiety, enhance confidence, and potentially experience less pain during labour. The growing body of research supports the benefits of hypnobirthing, highlighting its potential to improve birth outcomes and maternal well-being. We go much further than the physiological aspects included in other antenatal classes, and we focus on how you can increase your chances of having the birth you want using specific hypnosis and mindfulness techniques that Sophie Fletcher has crafted over 15 years of experience as a hypnotherapist and doula. Hypnobabies is another method of using hypnosis during the birth process. It’s based on the Painless Childbirth Program, which was developed by master hypnotherapist Gerald Kein.

Expert guidance Result in healthy babies. Apgar scores, the system to evaluate babies in the minutes after birth, may be higher among babies born using HypnoBirthing techniques.

Mindful hypnobirthing is a combination of hypnosis and mindfulness techniques. It helps your body respond well during labour by enabling you to create confident, calm and positive thoughts about the birth of your baby.” Sophie Fletcher (2014) Mindful Hypnobirthing Another main difference? With Lamaze and the Bradley Method, the birth partner or coach is key. With HypnoBirthing, a support person is encouraged, but a woman can self-hypnotize. In other words, another person is not necessarily needed for success. Importantly, it avoids the pitfalls that other courses fall into. As a hypnotherapist I use all the tools with caution and have an acute awareness of why some hypnosis tools are not suitable for birth.

Hypnosis, visualization and deep relaxation techniques can take weeks or months to master. Moms-to-be and their partners attend small weekly group hypnobirthing classes where moms practice the techniques with their partners. Students may also be asked to practice the techniques at home every day leading up to their due dates. Again, relaxation is the name of the game with HypnoBirthing. But during all the potential chaos of contractions, how can you possibly get into a Zen-like state? Well, there are various techniques to try, like controlled breathing. Controlled breathingI love this, it’s teaches you what’s happening, why it’s happening and what to do about it. I hate “going with the flow” but this class gives us a secure framework within which there is room for flexibility”. Hypnobirthing is an approach to childbirth that combines self-hypnosis, relaxation techniques, and education to promote a calm and positive birthing experience. It aims to empower parents, providing them with the knowledge and tools to navigate childbirth confidently. Hypnobirthing techniques help to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress associated with labour, enabling parents to have a more relaxed and comfortable birth. Benefits of Hypnobirthing Everyone is so focused on the birth! What about the days and weeks afterwards? There is very little attention on this, and the value of hypnobirthing, and other mindset tools to keep your feet on the ground when everything changes. We keep our classes small, so you will rarely find that a class has over 5 couples. This helps us to hold a nurturing space where you can relax and feel comfortable. Part of hypnobirthing is being able to ask questions freely and to process any thoughts you have, and it’s much easier to do that in smaller group. I’ve found some other Hypnobirthing books a little over whelming with so many scripts to practice, I think they rely on your partner being a hypnotherapist! This gave me real confidence and the Mindfulness aspect made perfect sense. Everything you need to know about having a positive birth :)”
