About this deal

Ten minutes in, other nuances appear under the top notes. There is a whiff of something floral, something almost rose-like, but it’s very minor at first. Much more noticeable is the subtle aroma of burnt beeswax, along with the merest suggestion of a darkened leather coated with honey. Both are side-effects of the labdanum. My skin tends to amplify the note, but it also makes patchouli act like a bullhorn a lot of the times, and Tobacco Oud is no exception. It takes the patchouli and runs with it, bringing out a definite syrupy, fruited, almost fruit-chouli like sweetness. Less than 30 minutes into Tobacco Oud’s development, the patchouli merges into the floral note to create a jammy rose sweetness that completely overwhelms the tobacco. I’ll be honest, I was a bit baffled, but, clearly, it’s the patchouli at play and, as usual, my skin wreaks havoc with it. Personally, I was much more interested in what a close friend of mine thought, as she is a die-hard Tom Ford fan whose “holy grail” fragrance is Oud Wood, followed then by Amber Absolute. For her, Oud Wood and Amber Absolute are absolute perfection. She is the very talented, thorough, globally successful beauty blogger, Temptalia, and her review of Tobacco Oud reads, in part, as follows: Oud wood with its “noble rot.” Source: The Perfume Shrine via Dr. Robert Blanchette, University of Minnesota – forestpathology.coafes.umn.edu

Vert d'Encens is meant to represent the scented interpretation of the coast of Corsica — sophisticated, aromatic, and wild. The composition includes notes of incense, pine resins and fir balsam, heliotrope and woods.

Yes. Our products do not contain any animal derived ingredients: they are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. To me the domineering note of Vert d'Encensis the pine resin, which couples with the incense to give a far-away-lands atmosphere; like I would imagine one standing in Kransnoyarsk, Russia, instead of Corsica, with the river bringing on an odd freshness, and the smoky fires within and the central heating belying the outside cold. It's one fragrance that really benefits from the cold outside, when its warmth rises forth and makes the heart grow fonder. Royal Mail will attempt to deliver the parcel twice. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon later that same day Even if individual chords over and over again remind of the spicy, striking Booziness paired with pipe tobacco and exotic oud, and other chords quite evoke associations with the most seductive rose that the house of Ford has to offer, Oud Fleur does something quite brilliant in the later course:

Among the many scents inspired by this mystical material, Tom Ford's Santal Blush is a gorgeous, clean, dry, and creamy sandalwood fragrance with an immediate message of sensuousness and no boozy aftertaste. Both beautiful and wearable, it was composed by talented perfumer Yann Vasnier. Step into a world of indulgence as the rich, velvety notes of Oud Fleur caress your senses, leaving an unforgettable impression. This captivating fragrance is a harmonious blend of rare oud wood, precious spices, and luxurious floral accords, creating a truly intoxicating olfactory experience. The bet wasn't an easy one. Composing a sandalwood fragrance evocative of the Indian splendors of the Mysore variety, revered for centuries, but without actually using the raw material due to its regional restrictions on use as an endangered species, was a Herculean feat. The result, however, more than compensates, entering into sandalwood fragrances' Hall of Fame, a genre always popular with perfume lovers. If you like Tam Dao, but prefer a luxe rather than bohemian presentation, this is a refined take on that scented cult memory. Tobacco Oud is standing in front of the hearth and warming your hands, a brief respite from the cool outdoors. Amber Absolute is curling up in a luxurious blanket in your favorite chair and settling in for the night.I like its darker and spicier aspects. I find it intriguing and the somewhat damp woodiness and rose note, was much better than I would normally find it to be. The resin and spice is a nice touch in Oud Fleur to create a more distinct aroma versus all of the others on the market. Oud Fleur, as a whole, has one major problem that runs through Tom Ford's entire Prive Blend line. The naming. Really, this fragrance is not floral in my eyes. Sure, it has a floral approach due to the rose, which becomes one of the main components over time. But the entire fragrance is so much more trimmed towards spices and oud by its make that the epithet "Fleur" should have been left out here. "Oud Spice" would have been a better and more appropriate name for this fragrance. If you're expecting just another "rose/oud" candidate from Oud Fleur (something the majority of comments and statements here would lead you to expect), you're mistaken. Oud Fleur finds a completely different approach to this already worn out topic. At the heart of Oud Fleur lies the legendary oud wood, renowned for its captivating and mysterious nature. The deep, woody aroma of oud is enhanced by a delicate bouquet of roses, jasmine, and magnolia, infusing the fragrance with a sensual and floral warmth.
