About this deal

Stainless steel is a reasonable option for a sustainable water bottle as it’s 100 per cent recyclable. It comes with a matte protective sleeve that stops you from burning your hands, and is made from ceramic which is really durable (and doesn't make your drink taste funny).

I tried to sip the coffee two hours after pouring and burnt myself, much to the amusement of my colleagues (at least that shows the Thermos, which is said to retain heat for seven hours, works). I think I'll keep the Chillys cup for travelling and use the SHO at my desk (I take forever to drink hot drinks so they go cold in normal cups).

To assemble, snap the carry handle into the designated cap spots, screw the antimicrobial collar onto the bottle, and top it off with the cap. Our expert Natalie Byrne from Go Outdoors has also helped to answer frequently asked questions, like how to choose an environmentally friendly water bottle, how to clean one, and how long you can keep water in one. The fact you can block the drinking hole means it also won’t leak when you do stash it in your briefcase. It’s hard to make a water bottle stand out from the crowd in such a saturated market, but Contigo’s Autoseal technology is the best leak-proof design I’ve seen. Our favourite feature is the single-touch open-and-close lid, which makes it super easy to open the lid and drink with one hand when you're on-the-go.

Its best to wash them by hand with some hot soapy water, but don’t leave them soaking as this can affect the paint and cause it to chip off. As an espresso drinker, there’s not much point in getting one of these, as my coffee tends to disappear within two sips and fits perfectly in a much smaller and lighter cup. Sho advises that the Straw Lid is not 100 per cent leak proof, though I haven’t found that to be an issue. The collar screws off as you attempt to open it and the collar is not comfortable to drink from, I've spilt water on myself twice using just for the first time today. All you need to do is select a different colour for the body, head and lid to create your own unique colour combination.

I was so excited to get two of the new Chilly's bottles however, after using them for a little while, they became mouldy and rusted after being left with the lid on for a few weeks. We noticed that the collar and loop are a slightly different shade compared to the bottle, though it’s not surprising as they’re different materials.

I’d highly recommend Waterdrop to anyone who needs a bit of flavour to encourage them to drink more water.Occasionally, the lid’s button didn’t snap the lid open straightaway and it’s definitely bulkier than the Chilly’s above, designed with hiking and adventure at the forefront. Because Air Up conducted a very clever marketing campaign when it launched, using influencer partnerships on Tiktok and Instagram to target that younger age group. If anything was laid on top of it by accident, I wouldn’t trust it not to spurt water and drench the contents.
