About this deal

It’s hard not to hate Myra more as she was a woman and easy to trust and she used that to her advantage.

The tribal Williams also nurtured the young Welshman Richard Burton, whom he directed in his first lead film role in 'The Last Days of Dolwyn' (1949). The victims: Pauline Reade, Lesley Ann Downey, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, and Edward Evans were aged between 10 and 17 years old.

When authorities finally found two bodies buried in the moor (both were young children), the investigation began and soon, one more body was found (that of a young man) in the Brady/Hindley home. Williams' plays "Yesterday's Magic," "The Morning Star" and "Someone Waiting" were also performed on Broadway, and he had a success on the Great White Way as an actor himself in a solo performance as Charles Dickens, which he revived twice. The book looks at the crimes from the very beginning, looking at these two growing up and their family background and then how they met up with each other.

The second book published in this series carries on from where ‘The Moors Murderers’ left off and continues the horrific story of the crimes perpetrated by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley and tells of what happened at their trial in 1966.Brady was finally caught after he involved his brother-in-law, Smith, in the final murder of Edward Evans. In this book, many artefacts become public for the first time, including photographs from Ian Brady’s ‘Tartan album’, police interviews and witness statements, which shed vital new light on Brady, Hindley and the dangerous cocktail their union became. They also took numerous photographs and audio tapes of the murders which helped the police find the graves. In a horror movie, you can pause or, if a book, can put it down and remind yourself that “this is just a work of fiction” You can’t do that with True crime. John Williams's Into the Badlands opened up the world of American crime fiction for me and a generation.
