If you look at the center of the light reflection and follow the swirl marks up to the triangle straight above, you’ll notice how much more of those become apparent when using the LED light compared to the xenon. You'll only have access to the basic twinblade for the longest time, as the second one you can get is in Nokron, and by that point most players will have done Limgrave, Liurnia and Caelid, along with some side areas, which is a huge amount of content. The LED’s light, being more blue, shows less detail in its reveal of defects, and the color is much more intense to the eyes. If you're like me and you enjoy two-handing twinblades rather than powerstancing (either because you prefer it or because you also run spells in offhand,) you can use some interesting mixups by alternating one-handed and two-handed combat.
This light is pretty nice, it's plastic, but it has a metal reflector and is much lighter than the legend LX which I still love, but it a heavy light with lots of good solid aluminum in it. For more thorough information in general on using light to find defects during paint correction work, I would highly recommend reading the article by Marc Harris and Jacob Bunyan on Using Handheld Lights for Paint Inspection: Brinkmann LED vs. You want to hold the Brinkmann Swirl Finder Light about 12" to 16" away from the surface you're inspecting and hold it at an angle so that the light bounces back to your eyes. A weapon who’s main attribute being better twohanded is weaker than just using two separate ones…just, brilliant.
Also worth noting that the offhand chain is worse (slower) than the mainhand chain in spite of them looking very similar, which is unfortunate. If there is one attack in the game that needs hyper armor, it's the charge attack of Twinblades or make the charge up time much faster, because as it stands right now, the charge attack is objectivly unusable pve and pvp wise. The tradeoff isn't that good when you can use barricade shield on Mshields too and it would let greatshield users put more points into endurance.
