An immensely enjoyable and readable book in which Liverpool fan Anthony Quinn outlines his love and affection for Jürgen Klopp, the man who has transformed Liverpool from perennial nearly men to European, World Club and finally English champions, in the process ending a thirty year wait for the title. I have been head coach of several semi-pro football teams in Greece and worked as a technical director in the Academies of DOXA Dramas (Greek football league, 2nd division).

Really enjoyed this book, which captures both the essence of supporting Liverpool and of Jürgen as a man and manager. A typical football book, easy to read, easy to follow the story line, a story about a football manager will excite you or not, for me, as a football fan, I really enjoyed this book, the book provided me with everything I anticipated, the only negative I can think, is that the book is written, whilst Jurgen Klopp is still active as a football manager, so it is not a complete career story, I prefer books written about footballers, and football manager once they have completed their careers so you get the whole story.

I have watched Juventus in many of their league and Champions league matches for the last few years and all of them during the 2013- 2014 season. I saw Quinn talking about writing in football at a literary festival recently(alongside an impressive Pat Nevin), and I enjoyed the Rescue Man, and alongside our common desire, I had to read this. After a brief flirtation with green and white hooped Celtic as a boy, he opted for the Reds, family tradition ruling the roost. Klopp has an easy turn of phrase and a disarming eloquence, with Neveling pulling quotes from various sources. the opening five chapters is where this story really shines offering a window into Klopps early life and hihglighting his most important influences.
