About this deal

The botanicals have been separated into base, citrus, tea, spice, fruity/floral and herbal and then distilled individually before being blended together. The distillates are masterfully blended before being left to marry together, allowing the disparate flavours to harmonise, giving our gin perfect balance. The limited edition expression made with a carefully selected blend of teas, including Tencha and Gyokuro, have been added to the botanical recipe (Hinoki cypress, yuzu and juniper and more) which imparts an intense aroma and depth of flavour.

KI NO BI (“The Beauty of the Seasons”) is inspired by tradition and is distilled, blended and bottled in Kyoto. This elaborate process requires a considerable amount of time and effort, and is seldom used by gin distilleries around the world.

We source the ingredients for our gin mainly from Kyoto, as well as from other regions across Japan. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. Botanicals are divided into six different categories, known as 6 Elements, macerated in rice spirit and then distilled individually.

Ki No Bi Gin has a great, oily juniper beginning, but yuzu quickly steps in to send the gin spiralling, followed by a briny sansho and light tea.
