About this deal

The things that she has to endure as a child will break your heart, but she finds a way to endure the heartbreak. She will never let go of her true dream of becoming a filmmaker, though, and if she wants to make that leap, she will have to expose herself in ways she never has before. When she meets her future husband, a famous director, he puts her in front of the screen so she won’t be invisible anymore. After reading chapter two and realizing these faults in writing I began to second-guess my opinions, that maybe Steel is trying to imprint something into the mind with a writing technique.

Antonia manages to become the person she wants to be in spite of her upbringing and rises above her pain to eventually love again. The story began with an agonizing 50+ pages of explaining why the main character, Antonio, preferred to be invisible -- BORING! Antonia’s ambition to become a filmmaker never abates, but a tragedy forces this talented woman to make a decision about where she is better served.I did find this an interesting set up, but again it left me feeling like I had scratched the surface only. Antonia never lets go of her true dream of becoming a filmmaker, but to make that leap she will have to expose herself in ways she never has before. She had flashing dark eyes, as large as Antonia’s, and for as long as Antonia could remember, her mother had been angry most of the time. In her college days she concentrates on her studies and made a fantastic friendship with Jake and Jakes family help her to feel the bonding of family and the love towards the kids even though his parents too are divorced and they remarried again along with lot of half brothers and sisters for him they enjoyed the Xmas altogether for the benefit of kids.

I’m assuming this is a love story about a rich old man who falls in love with a beautiful young woman/orphan/foundling.I was wrong and found that many others have the same opinions on the writing and some even stating that the writing is "a classic Danielle Steel. He had a girl waiting for him at home, and intended to marry her, although he never told Fabienne’s mother that. Fabienne had chatted easily with Brandon Adams while she served him, and asked him where he was from. When tragedy strikes, will Antonia go back to being invisible or will she persevere and pursue her passion? She learned to disappear, to hide in the shadows, to make herself so small and stay so silent that they forgot she was in the room.

I managed to follow this one until the end but I have to say it is not one of Steel’s best novels by far. When she is 7 and her mother walks out on them to be a big Hollywood star, her father becomes mean and distant to her because he sees his wife when he looks at her and cannot dispelled the rage he has for his wife.Antonia Adams is the product of a loveless marriage between a beautiful young model and an aristocrat.

I worried that Antonia would grow up and have issues with attachment since both parents never made her feel wanted or loved.

I was so amazed at how Antonia was so successful having been a witness to her mother and father's constant fighting and growing up knowing her mother abandoned her to become an actress.
