They're rather squidgy, making you press rather hard to activate them, often feeling like they should've been pressed, when they have not. Incredibly versatile by design, the HY-254 comes with a carry handle that effectively eliminates the hassle of moving your fan from one room to the next. As for its height, it does a good job cooling my entire body sitting down, exactly the reason I got this thing. The Honeywell HY254E QuietSet Tower Fan has eight levels of quiet control for continuous comfort, including a sleep setting and also a white noise setting which can be used as an aid to get to sleep- blocking out distracting inconsistent sounds.
More troubling is the huge stand it has to prevent it falling over – you need a decent amount of floor space to keep it in. It is very quiet when used on it's lowest setting (sleep mode) and it has never disturbed me in the night with annoying creaks or whirring noises - something which a lot of cheap fans often do. The glossy styling on top is a fingerprint magnet, but as the glossy aspect is so small, it's barely noticeable. It's now over 2 years since I purchased it, and it runs no different to the day I first switched it on, even after being used for 8+ hours a night, every night.Please note that an item's colour as shown on the listing is only a guide and may have shade variations with the product itself. One feature I think would also be interesting is the ability to alter the turning radius and speed of the turn.
The oscillating feature provides full room coverage when in use, cooling your environment until its no longer necessary. The most impressive thing about it is that the difference between the top and bottom fan speeds isn’t actually that great in terms of volume to the naked ear. Time will tell, but the signs are good, it certainly looks like excellent value to me at the moment. This is sufficient for most uses, but more options would also have been welcome, such as a timer, or suggested features I mentioned above.It's not that bright, and in a shade where it's not that noticeable, but some might find it distracting.

After I made one or two small mistakes, and actually stopped and thought about what needed to happen, I didn't have much trouble.As far as power goes, it provides a really strong gust of air on the highest setting (power cool mode). I've only had it one day, so cannot comment on how long it will last - hopefully a few hot summers at least. cheap, it feels like most of the money spent is on the fan, which is good, and thankfully it appears good enough to support the tower fan.
