About this deal

High-bass, however, is overemphasized by almost 3dB, adding a bit of muddiness to the overall sound. Higher frequencies I didn’t touch with the Mojo 2, because it seems that the Sennheiser HD 660S is doing well in the high frequencies, and if I max out also those with the Mojo 2, it will sound weird. With a crisp bass, excellent mid-frequency response, and a gentle, pleasantly natural treble, the HD 660S has an expressiveness that immerses you in every emotion and nuance of music. These phones can play 8K videos, so I don’t think it’s the bandwidth capability is what they mean by these Hi-Res numbers. This results in improved control of the diaphragm movements thanks to a specially manufactured precision stainless steel fabric, which is adapted to the contour of the diaphragm.

Boosting everything I think it’s typical what beginners like me do, and the bass already hurts my ears before the trebles have reached lout enough volume, so I think I have to cut it down a bit on the Mojo. In this Head-Fi post a Sennheiser representative said is was done to make them feel a little more "roomy and pleasant. Design-wise the new Sennheiser HD660 S at a first glance just looks like the HD650 and HD600 headphones but at the same time it looks different enough to easily distinguish it from them. These headphones don’t have a microphone for online games, can’t be customized like most gaming headsets with a software, and can’t be used in loud environments. The HD660S takes its main design cues from the HD600, but opts for a simpler flat black finish rather than the somewhat glossier look of HD600 and HD650.There is a balance here, though, because detail retrieval can get too relaxed and that can sound unnatural, as well, or simply leave out important aspects of the recording. But you won't find anywhere near this level of service from them, and I'll be sure to keep Holburn in mind for the future. balanced cable, HD660S is lower impedance and higher sensitivity, meaning you’ll be able to drive it on a much wider range of devices, while that 4.

The Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO and the Sennheiser HD 660 S are both very good open-back audiophile headphones, each with their own different sound signature. I keep a Massdrop + Sennheiser HD6XX (which is essentially a Massdrop-branded HD650) and a Beyerdynamic DT-880 600Ω around as references pieces. However, the HD 660 S are better-built, deliver a slightly more neutral mid-range, and provide superior stereo imaging performance. Though the presentation case remains the same, the HD 660 S comes with two cables, both about ten feet long, one terminated in a 1/4" TRS plug, the other terminated in the new 4.A) The HD 660 S is only a dB or two more voltage efficient, so there's only a modest difference in volume from a phone. Una pregunta tengo el hiby R5 saber, crees que haga buen equipo con el HD 660s por la balanceada de 4. I spent weeks feeding the HD 660 S with a hugely varied playlist stretching from Bjork to Wagner, and Ed Rush to Fleetwood Mac, and across everything from vinyl to CD to hi-def audio via Tidal’s excellent streaming service.

You say that with the right setting the 660s gets softer and with more pronounced bass, looking like the 650, so this 660s soft signature is nicer than the smooth natural of the 650? The 6XX has a neutral-warm signature that is also somewhat rolled-off with mediocre extension both high and low.

Mid-bass, responsible for the body of bass guitars and punch of kick drums, follows well our neutral target. However, if you have a stand-alone mic and play in a quiet room, these are quite comfortable for long gaming sessions and they have a good sound quality.
