About this deal

This isn't about phonics - it's a pedagogical approach based on expectation, challenge, autonomy and rigour. The Language Master Card set, Sounds and Letters supports the learning of the letter sounds covered in the Floppy’s Phonics Sounds and Letters programme, Books 1-18, 21-24. Following the phonics screening check, the results are used to identify which children will need further support decoding.

Developed with Debbie Hepplewhite, it's perfect for schools who want high quality resources for effective and consistent phonics teaching. The Level 1 books introduce children to environmental sounds in a variety of contexts through beautifully illustrated Oxford Reading Tree picture books. Like no other, it delivers the essential resources to teach and practise the alphabetic code in a systematic and engaging way to develop confident and capable readers.Floppy’s Phonics Online offers whole-class phonics teaching and individual phonics practice for the whiteboard and tablet, to accompany the print resources. During a recent Ofsted inspection, an observed phonics lesson with Reception children was deemed ‘outstanding’ with no areas of improvement needed. This Floppy’s Phonics Fiction complete pack offers 30 books that support the teaching of Phase 2 to Phase 5 Letters and Sounds (2007).

These bright and colourful titles are perfectly matched to Letters and Sounds Phase 3 (book band level Red and Yellow / Oxford Level 2 and 3) and feature the familiar characters Biff, Chip and Kipper. Selected titles from this series are available as part of our eBook library subscriptions, perfect for use in the classroom or to share books with children to read at home. The Level 1 Sounds and Letters books introduce children to environmental sounds in a variety of contexts through beautifully illustrated Oxford Reading Tree picture books.
