Great for beginners and considering the costs it’s a win win for beginners like me because the bundle comes with little practice amplifier + amp cable + Guitar gig bag and many more items but these three are not offered by squire or any other brands on the internet although squires are now made in China which is of same quality. It’s very smooth to use, and even though it has 3 springs under the backplate, it was not overly tight. Eventually, I learned just a few minor chords later in life, but never enough to be a proficient guitar player. It has a good sound and came with everything needed to start playing: • Extra strings: Good thing it came with extra strings I immediately broke the 1st string. Unfinished/raw maple fingerboards are essentially raw wood and require an oil-based fingerboard cleaner for cleaning and conditioning.

My opinion is that copy companies like Donner would just replicate Fender assembly specs, but obviously I don't know for sure as I have zero interest in crappy Donner stuff. When fully charged you get quite a bit of play time and the amp itself does have aux on the back for additional options to accompany your performance (I used a drum machine metronome to practice my riffs).

I’m going to reveal my honest opinion about this guitar, and I’m sure you’ll notice I speak the truth and reveal all the cons I found too. It wouldn’t be fair to compare this guitar against a genuine Fender Stratocaster, or even one of the slightly lower-end MIM or MIJ Strats. If you have strings that are worn, flattened, kinked, corroded, rusted, or mucked up with sweat grease, and grime, then it is time to change your strings.

The bag plus all the accessories that came with the guitar are great for someone just starting out on learning to play. Swaps for upgrade: saddles, locking tuners, tremolo (or just lock it), and a hotter/brighter humbucker. It had an HSS pickup layout, with a 5 way selector switch, and it even had coil splitting, giving both single coil and humbucker tones in the bridge position.All too often with inexpensive guitars, pickups are an afterthought, but we actually got some nice tones from them. Maple fingerboard cleaning: Finished maple or glossy fingerboard can be cleaned and polished with any standard guitar cleaner intended for finished woods.
