Six years after its release the band followed up with 2014′s stunner The Unnatural World, Deathconsciousness has become a force of influence and fanatic obsession. In LP format, Deathconsciousness is meant to be a double album, with the first seven tracks forming the more organic The Plow That Broke the Plains, while the six remaining, electronic-heavy tracks comprising The Future. Have A Nice Life, has, at seperate times during this recording, included Thao, Brian, Will and Cody. In 2008, Have A Nice Life released their now cult classic Deathconsciousness album to a whimper and critical non-interest. The sound quality of this record is bass heavy, clear when it needs to be, noisy when it needs to be and sounds really good. the flenser is currently repressing this record regularly, using the same masters as the 2020 press. It is perhaps a fanbase as dark and mysterious as the Antiochean’s, the album itself revolves around. Now, longtime HANL collaborator The Flenser will reissue Deathconsciousness on the long-requested CD format, with a deluxe packaging option, including the lengthy accompanying zine and housed in a heavy box. The Flenser’s reissue of Deathconsciousness will be accompanied by a 75-page booklet detailing the dark and forgotten history of the Antiochean cult.
