About this deal

Ahriman is riveting as always, and Magnus continues to be one of the most tragic figures from the Heresy.

This year sees us get eight boxes packing some serious firepower alongside some very recognisable characters. Having said that, I don't think it should have been cut, since it gives us our most direct time with the main shard of Magnus' soul. It continues on a lot of the story threads from that first story nicely and also ties into a lot of what we have read from future books like John French's series as well as the Master of Prospero primarch book from McNeill. Nagasena is another creation of Graham McNeil from The Outcast Dead book, and a pretty good character too.Magnus and Lorgar were some of my favorite moments from Aaron Dembski-Bowden's Word Bearers novels and it was nice to have their relationship recognized in this. We will do our best to help locate the package by creating support tickets with Canada Post and keeping you up to date. There's a really cool scene with Ahriman and his group venturing into the warp, that's just as mind bending as you would expect. you'd need the Rubics to balance out the Tzaangors (Im personally a fan of bird-men, but their not suitable as your ONLY troops), but really, i'd only recommend it if your really keen on Magnus himself, as this gets you him plus a few helpers.

It’s just under 1000 points so you’ve got points to grow for a full army from this strong foundation. I would definitely recommend you read A Thousand Sons before this, otherwise a lot of it will be lost on you, besides that one book, there aren't any others that are "required" reading. This boxed set contains a supremely powerful daemonic Primarch, leading a trio of Exalted Sorcerers. If you don't own Magnus, you want to own Magnus and plan to collect TSons this is a slam dunk purchase.

They aren’t all fantastic but theres some strong foundations and averaging about 33% savings isn’t to be sniffed at. Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. The forces is finished off with a squad of Battle Sisters (which you could chose to build as elite Celestians or fast attack Dominions). Besides just being a great character who's wholly unique for the Thousand Sons, he comes across more as an Iron Warrior, it also helps connect the universe more. A fairly standard foundation force and savings in line with the rest of the forces on the list, but nothing to really shout about.

Without giving away too much of the plot, the story follows three main arcs, Ahriman's, Amon's, and Promus', an ex-Ultramarine librarian now working for Malcador. This box provides 24 plastic models with access to a variety of psychic abilities and special weapons, making it an ideal way to start a new Thousand Sons army or add to your existing collection. When last we left them they were broken by the Space Wolves and left licking their wounds on the Planet of the Sorcerers, their new home within the warp. Everything definitely had a very mystical vibe to it, and Amon comes across as the "old wizard" character type, but with some nice twists. After securing the prophet they came for, a demon bound within a sarcophagus, they retreat back to their new home. It took the Thousand Sons legion and established them as one of the true tragic victims of the Heresy, forced into their situation by poor decision making by Magnus and the machinations by Horus.

for a 1k game (which is what you'd be able to scrape together with those purchases), i'd say your right on the upper edge of with all those HQs, as tsons rely heavily on thier casters, so having a lot is good, but you need mass to operate behind or they'll be picked off. Since then they have popped up in a few short stories or as side characters in other novels, but we never found out what happened to Magnus and his sons after they were forced to flee the Imperial retribution. Now Magnus is a supreme commander and a primarch, in a non- CP size game you can slot him in a supreme commander detachment which is not only free (no cp cost! You could round it out with some full sized knights or if you want to start an army with maximum savings two of these boxes wouldn’t be awful.
