Patients already receiving Red Medicines in primary care should be handled on a case by case basis with the support of the Medicines Optimisation team.

Devices: For any prescribable medical devices not included on the Dorset formulary, the product should not be prescribed or be recommended to prescribe on the NHS in Primary Care until a proposal for the use of the product within Dorset has been submitted to the formulary working group.
