All content of this web site is for information purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice; rather it is designed to support, not replace, the relationship between you and your healthcare providers. I can see Chic as someone’s signature, it’s got some depth though it may need reapplication later in the day. Overall I give this an 8/10, I think it's underrated, and if it lasted longer it would probably be in my top 5.

I don't get much fruitiness from the melon, I'm surprised it has been voted as the most prominent note. this stuff dries down to a scent that in my opinion, is close to the greatest scent ive ever smelled. Chic is perfect for someone in their mid twenties to their early forties who need a unique fragrance for fun summer or springtime outings. Seriously, it smells like you're in a watermelon field with a freshly cut watermelon in front of you. PS: I don't know if the current OFF still smells the same, but I am referring to the bottles we used back in the 80s.Extremely pleasant opening thats sweet and fresh both at the same time - the watermelon and the citruses really sing together! The masculine version was created as a tribute to the world of photography, a black and white world in which Carolina Herrera has been immortalized by the most prestigious photographers; and the world of writing, a place where imagination has no limits. It won't give you the niche quality, but also much better that the average designer fragrance today. But this does smel different then all my other colognes and is a welcome addition to any collection.

This fragrance has citrusy top notes of Sicilian bergamot, lemon, Italian mandarin, and fresh melon. In fact, no real substitutes discovered yet even though a lot of great muguet materials out there, especially Lyral, is still irreplaceable, perhaps not in terms of scent but in terms of longevity, its effect on the entire blend, fixative properties etc. Again, this could be that at previous times labeling requirements were different, so I'm just trying to draw conclusions without being 100% sure. The spritzer breaks easy be careful, the new bottle the juice is much lighter for some reason and does not smell as intense so they must have re formulated however it's still the same scent just needs an extra spray. The citrus swirls and swirls with the watermelon and cinnamon for a good duration and then finally the pepper arrives giving the scent another salvo of spice before the scent segues into its' sweet, woody, amber, musky base. Top choices in this combination are a base of sandalwood carefully blended with hints of pungent spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. You get hints of watermelon throughout its lifespan on your skin and some tonka sweetness here and there. The watermelon is not teeny at all and settles down very mature in the spices that draw on the watermelon's coolness - balancing out into a deliciousness that is refreshing and calming yet energizing at the same time.

Polo Blue was able to persevere commercially regardless being associated with the Polo brand which during those times was one of the most in demand brands in the US (still is to an extent). In connclusion: This fragrance smells amazing but it doesn’t project great as a matter of fact after wearing it for 2 months I’m sure it dies down to the skin after 30 mins. But now in my thirties, scents like this and Dunhill Century have drawn me in these days for everyday wear.Citruses are of course common in any fresh scent but, in the instance of Carolina Herrara's Chic, citruses are paired with a bit of watermelon and spices and presto we get the versatility I was looking for. It's none of these, it is a deliciously sweet and fluffy synthetic scent that would likely appeal to teens posing as adults. I got about 7 hours of longevity and 2-3 hours of good projection with 4 sprays (2 to neck, 1 chest, 1 clothing).

But even as the light but versatile scent it currently is it would be hard for consumers to pass up on that very pleasant opening. This is a beautiful scent I have gotten compliments from multiple women, but 3 particular times stand out.Getting more spicy with the cinnamon and cardamon, and I do get a light wiff of the watermelon, or at least melon. Both Chic and Polo Blue are classified as woody scents but like Bleu de and Sauvage (in it's brief opening at least), they come across as fruity frags. I get lots of compliments from this, I wore 4 sprays out in public when I first got this and a completely random girl approached me and said 'Excuse me, you smell absolutely gorgeous'.
