First, I had some questions – why would a graphic designer take a job as a coffee fetcher for so little incentive? She gets under his skin and challenges him; equally, at the same time, she loves and is excited about how she pushes his buttons. Her portrayal of the protagonist, in particular, left much to be desired, as it failed to evoke any genuine connection.

Can Margo survive in a world of black ties and white lies, or will the secrets lead her straight to a second broken heart? But with each passing day, Beck's dirty mouth and lingering stares make me question his motives-and mine.There's so much history and secrets you do not know at first, but let me tell you that BECKHAM SINCLAIR IS ONE OBSESSED MFER! I'm not the biggest fan of fake dating storylines, but I appreciate one when it's believable and well done. They have a lot of sexual tension right from the start, and it was interesting to watch Margo resist it while toying with Beck at the same time. And Savannah and Lee (😋🥰😉) brought the characters, the feels and the storyline to life so well I just couldn’t stop listening.

Many times I needed to read again the whole paragraph just to understand what the sentence meant or go back few pages so I'd know what is happening where and even then, I still couldn't understand some scenes. Margo is still nursing a broken heart from her jerk ex when his deliciously gruff and broody older brother drops a bomb: he just bought the company where she works and has chosen Margo to be his new personal assistant. Half the reason might be my schedule, but the other half is that this book unfortunately doesn't offer much depth to the characters and plot.I'm talking workplace, fake fiance, billionaire, one bed, forced proximity, pining, with ALL the angst and sexual tension and to top it off we get dual POV! That slowly transitioned into, “well, this is getting ridiculous,” until I emotionally detached and was simply curious how it all played out.
