About this deal

I have a P1758 GE AM transistor radio still in box and a gray RCA stolid state transistor radio. What should I sell them for or just throw them away? For the best part of the next twenty years it didn’t seem to occur to anyone in a position of authority at the BBC that the series really was offensive to more than just a few “killjoys”. This failure to even see any racism was a measure of the BBC’s real problem: the archival record of its behind-the-scenes thinking during this period is far from flattering.

Radio contacts

I just got a “INCOMICA seven transistor radio”. Trying to look up the vintage, any information on this brand would be appreciated!

Added Media Player icon to support the Los Santos Tuners Update. (I did not color the station's icon, as I didn't think it was necessary.) NOTE: Make sure you have the latest version of ScriptHookV, otherwise the game will crash when you try to run it.

Abstract

I have a radio it is portable I believe it’s Emerson late 50s to 60s. I believe it has five stations and one not that many the antenna is handle that you carry the radio grips. It has two areas that you put those very large batteries in one on each side. It is two-tone beige and brown and it is in working condition. I remember seeing it once in Gidget goes to the beach and other movies it’s been taken care of well, let me know what you think and maybe you have some information on it It has the 2 CD marks between the 6 & 7 and at the 12. It is orange with an ivory face. The dial has the 3-d diamond pattern on it as well. It is in excellent condition as it has been in its brown leather cases all these years, I even have the ear phones in the case. Can you tell me if this would be worth anything ? Thank you for your time. Thank you for your memo of 19th May. Much could be and has been said about this. No doubt you have read the press comment and you will be very welcome, if you wish to see but have not seen, to borrow from the Secretary or H.P. a copy of the BBC's letter to Dr. Pitt.

If you care to research this fascinating hobby further there are many great resources on the internet. Here also are some books that may be of help: I also have a Englishtown Pee Wee 7 MTR716xx radio that measures 2.7″ x 1.7″ x 0.8″ that does not work. It requires 2 UM-5, 1.5V batteries (Eveready 904). It does not work but i wonder what the history of this radio is.Does anyone have any info on a “IVY LEAGUER” 7 Transistor Radio any info would be greatly appreciated. There was at least one determined voice of opposition within the BBC. The Corporation’s Chief Accountant, Barrie Thorne – who, significantly, had spent some time in the BBC’s New York office and so had seen something of the Civil Rights movement – argued vociferously for the show to be pulled from the schedule. His memo to the Director-General’s Chief Assistant still survives at the BBC’s Written Archives Centre: NOTE: Use the latest version of either Simple Trainer or Enhanced Native Trainer to enable to Cayo Perico/Contract stations in single player, as they haven't been officially added yet. The TR-1 and TR-1G used an odd 22.5 volt battery which can be found in limited quantities today but are pricey. Does anyone remember (have a pic of?) early transistor radio with alligator clips which I guess were there to aid in reception? Thanks for any pointing. Bill C
