About this deal
Handed out free to record companies, 'Neidermayer’s Mind' was the demo that would introduce the sound of Nu Metal to the masses, a sound that KoRn would go on to conquer. After the first taste, KoRn delivered their debut album, KoRn, in 1994. The album, hailed by many as the pioneer of Nu Metal, has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Follow up albums including 'Life is Peachy' (1996), 'Follow the Leader' (1998) and 'Issues' (1999) all found commercial success, topping the charts worldwide and leading the band to sell an estimated 40 million records worldwide. Humans have a notoriously difficult job digesting corn, and also digesting KoRn – a band who defied even the defiant, who broke the rules of the rulebreakers. The band who helped usher in the era of Nu Metal with a unique, unforgettable and unprecedented chaos. The sound and style of KoRn – which included expansive vocal sounds, harsh sounds, disturbing album imagery – did more than shake up the generation at the time, they helped inspire the next generation of anarchists. Slipknot, Limp Bizkit and Sepultura have all credited KoRn as major influences.
