About this deal

Indeed, Death gets the quote of the arc (and possibly her best quote of the whole collection) when she responds to a dead person complaining about not having enough time – she assures him that he got what everyone gets, “you got a lifetime”. This particular volume is a great showcase for this variety and it is enhanced by the various changes in art style accompanying the changes in mood, atmosphere, character and location.

The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. Brief Lives is still my least favourite of the major story arcs throughout the series, but it reads a lot better a second time.No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. Also included is the spectacular short story "Ramadan," a tale of a young king of ancient Baghdad and the deal he strikes with The Sandman to grant his city immortality, with spectacular illustrations by P. Hippolyta Hall's baby boy Daniel goes to sleep and ends up in Dreaming where he gets to meet Cain, Abel, Eve and the Raven Matthew.

Absolute Sandman Volume Three:The third volume collecting Neil Gaiman’s seminal, award-winning series starring the Dream King in deluxe format. As potentially satisfying the revelation of the mysterious seventh Endless could have been, I had to fight to keep the glaze off my eyeballs sometimes. Our collection ranges from classic titles to the latest releases, and we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of genres within the sci-fi umbrella, including space operas, cyberpunk, dystopian fiction, and much more. Craig Russell (Illustrator), Alec Stevens (Illustrator), Bryan Talbot (Illustrator), Jill Thompson (Illustrator), John Watkiss (Illustrator), Kent Williams (Illustrator), Michael Zulli (Illustrator) Other authors: See the other authors section. This volume also includes an introduction by Jill Thompson (artist for The Sandman, Vol 7: Brief Lives), a never-before-reprinted story by Gaiman and artist Michael Zulli, a complete reproduction of the one-shot The Endless Gallery as well as two additional 8-pages galleries, and the original script and thumbnail pencils by Gaiman and artist P.It cleans up the plotlines hinted at throughout the first half of the series and sets in motion everything that follows. The notion of a “reality storm” isn’t necessarily a new or original one, but it gets the story where it needs to be and has pleasant echoes of Soft Places, the solo story that rounded out the last volume. Even as early as Season of Mists he was hinting that Morpheus stood at a crossroads between his role and duties and the changes that he was facing.

It turns out he got caught in a reality storm and is now at an Inn between realms, the Inn at the End of the World.

It’ll be a while before I can finish the final collection, but I’m already really looking forward to it. Mortal contact bumped off, mortal contact nearly bumped off, mortal contact bumped off, mortal contact commits suicide.
