The active player draws the top card of the deck then may either play one of their cards that matches the color and shape of one of the spaces occupied by a monster, or they can ask someone else to play their card that matches. Other times, though, some bad enemy draws (especially if you have to draw multiple in the same turn), can throw everything off and quickly lead to game over. You’re only able to take our one monster reach turn, so I’m certain cases, the board can quickly get a little crowded. A great feature of this game is that all players can ask another player to use one of their cards on their turn, encouraging cooperation and sharing from the beginning, knowing that you are all working towards the same shared goal. Component-wise, all the tokens, castle, wall, and board are made from a nice thick chipboard which will hold up to a lot of playing.
