About this deal

The human players win once they have 3 characters off the island, regardless of the number of players. Meanwhile, the dinosaur player can look at the whole map so they know where everything is and plan accordingly. The publisher for Jurassic Park: Danger, Ravensburger, are actually one of our favourite publishers, producing excellent games that are usually easy to pick up and fun for many playthroughs. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). And kids even younger than 10 may enjoy playing Jurassic Park Danger since it’s a semi-cooperative game.

The human player doesn’t have any cards and can’t play a card during Step Two of the round sequence. I was transported to Isla Nublar and caught up in a world with dinosaurs that exploded my imagination.During step 3 of the next round you dinosaur must reappear in its current space or an adjacent space. At any time, if you fail your roll during the Climb or Sneak action, you can try to boost your roll. If a dinosaur enters into a tile with a character in it that isn’t sneaking (more on this later), then the dinosaur attacks (more on this later as well). But none of those have come close to recreating the feel of being on Isla Nublar with dinosaurs like Jurassic Park Danger does! The best board games tell a good story, and traditionally that story has always started over again each time you open the game box.

They show you on the back where they can be placed but you do so faced down so you cant see where each tile will be until you turn them all over. On paper that might sound derivative, but a clever system of semi-random event cards makes it so that you’re never quite sure what to expect next. The dinosaur player wins once they have defeated/eaten 3 characters in a 2/3 player game or 4 characters for a 4/5 player game. So to help bring back those old feelings, it was a moment of joy when we came across Jurassic Park: Danger! I must note, however, that there have been some decent attempts at changing this, with the Mario and Sonic ‘Gamer’ variants having much more streamlined play and elements such as bosses to deal with. This can be frustrating for the human player who is stuck being unable to do anything, with the situation being completely outside of their control. You must work together to activate locations, complete tasks and make it to the helicopter and out of there alive before it’s too late. on an incredible roll with classic movie licensed games in recent years (see games such as Jaws, Jurassic Park Danger! On Step Three of the NEXT round, the dinosaur will come out of Sneak by standing up on the it’s on OR on an adjacent tile. Another element that makes the game a big challenge is that the players don’t have any way to harm the dinosaurs.

I too love the source material, and the look and quality of the game and it’s pieces is very attractive. The most common expectation, certainly when I was a kid, was that a licensed game would be nothing more than a roll and move game with some loosely thematic text and illustrations slapped onto the board and components. The facilities are then added at their pre-determined locations and the players start in the centre or the island with the dinosaurs starting in their pens.
