Odette not only handles it with grace, but is incredibly realistic about what Zoey's life is like and dives deep into the emotions of her reality.I wish I was joking when I say that but so much happened in this book I am not even sure what the plot is. Ryan and Zoey were such wonderful friends and their relationship was based on so much trust and understanding. I could go on, really I could because so much happens in this book and I plan on reading it again because I loved it so much and want to make sure I didn’t miss something. A chance encounter at a random café causes Vancouver hockey player, Ryan Parker, and current homeless twenty-year old, Zoey to meet. Also, I know there are readers that aren’t a fan of OM/OW drama, but I personally enjoy it, so just a word of warning… I hope Jensen (the OM) gets his own book!

Mica and Charlie’s road to bliss isn’t an easy one; there’s a male neighbor who has taken a liking to Charlie and doesn’t mind getting on Mica’s bad side, some strange things keep happening to them both, and Mica has a crazy one time puck bunny who just refuses to believe he doesn’t want more from her. She's a little too naive and their marriage is going to be a bit rough while they both grow up more. There were other minor things that could’ve been better, but I don’t want to nit-pick, I’m already looking forward to rereading this book. Now living in Ryan’s apartment with no obligations other than working on getting back on her feet, Zoey’s confusion with the kindness he shows her eventually morphs into trust, and though she tries to fight it, she slowly makes a place for herself in his life and likes the person she’s become at his side. In 2001, she played a minor role in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger (titled "Saturday Night") as the daughter of a club owner ( Frank Stallone Jr.Detailed information about the Cookies, their exact purpose, and more can be found in our Cookie Policy. Ryan and Zoey’s meet was adorable and they connected from the first instance and watching them grow not only together but on their own growing and learning it was honestly beautiful! The female narration, while it was better, really lacked in relaying the emotions … so a bit robotic maybe?

Living in one of the hockey towns mentioned in this book, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to run into Ryan or Zoey on the street, and I feel like I could have an amazing conversation with either one of them. The story of Ryan and Zoey first begins with Ryan helping her and she slowly learns to trust him and accept his help.That said these characters didn’t grab me quite like before, but I think that had more to do with their situation than anything else. Thank you for the time you have spent with us on the platform and for giving us the opportunity to bring a little bit of joy into your life. I had to stop reading for a bit when he first tries to blackmail because I was afraid Zoey would cave and this blackmail stuff would last a while. He was such a real guy as well; I loved his struggle with loneliness and his attempts in trying to bond with his team even though they were hellbent on ostracizing him. Maybe, it was just because I did not care but the only personality traits, I felt like they had was Ryan being a hockey player while Zoey was homeless.

When Zoey met our hero, Ryan, she was homeless and living in the shelters and if there was no place in them, she was sleeping in 7/24 open diners. I fell in love with Mica, the crazy Russian hockey player, in the 2 nd book of this series Home Game, so I was really excited to learn more about him and watch the man who didn’t believe in love and family find that and boy did he. I appreciated that Ryan was written as a person who was aware of the power he had in their relationship as friends and eventually romantic partners and Odette made a point not to exploit that just for the sake of steamy sex scenes.Waking up in a hospital and realizing she was attacked and her shoulder and arm are wrecked Zoey has no idea what she’s going to do since she can’t work and her bag isn’t with her which meant it was left at the restaurant where she was attacked. It fits into the classic mold, but also has the unique voice of Odette Stone, which takes Home Game to the next level.
