About this deal

Initially iTunes exclusive, one part was released every week for four weeks beginning December 5th 2006. My only wish is that they would release the book with added info, since Plastic Beach came out afterwards. It is, absurdly, the fictional autobiography of a virtual band, with fabulous graphic artwork and comical interviews. The book explores their origins, their loves and hates, they're issues, victories, writing lyrics, creating videos, collaborating (with the ppl that actually took part in creating the band), photo shoots, romances, affairs, hauntings etc, arguing and discussing every thing while showing pictures of them every step of the way.

As a long time fan of Gorillaz, I enjoy watching, listening, and reading anything they come up with.Visually stunning and you can tell so much thought has gone into the design - extra little touches, like the gold foiling under the dust jacket, make it worth every penny for anyone who likes the Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett or top notch design work. Initially an iTunes exclusive, one part was released every week for four weeks beginning 4 December 2006. It contains previously unknown secrets of the band, such as future plans of the movie, new and rare art by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the "low down" on Kong Studios, their headquarters, and the story of the truth behind the " El Mañana" video. Featuring brand new art from and designed by Jamie Hewlett, this is the full story of Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs for the first time. Rise of the Ogre is an autobiography about the virtual band Gorillaz, ostensibly written by the four band-members in collaboration with (actual) Gorillaz musician and official scribe Cass Browne.

I bought a used version a whole 7 years after it was published for a total of 28 pounds which is a bargain considered this book sells for more than 70 in some instances. A community-maintained environment where you can find or share information about everything regarding the virtual band Gorillaz.Signed by Cass and Hewel, with the original fake library pouch~~VG/Good+ 1st ed 2006 hardback, unclipped DJ.

Gorillaz have always been as much about the visuals as they are about the music, and the autobiography will be a feast for the eyes. Featuring brand new art from and designed by Jamie Hewlett, this is the full story of Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs for the first time.Small lower rear corner tear to jacket with small nick also to top front corner of DJ spine, light rubbing to DJ and usage only, internally VG+ and unmarked.

Brilliant history (fictional) of the band Gorillaz, for the really avid fans, packed full of gorgeous illustrations of the band by Jamie Hewlett. Get the accompanying DVD Slowboat to Hades and the new vinyl figures from Kid Robot out now as well if you're a die hard fan like meself!Rise of the Ogre is the autobiography of Gorillaz, written by Cass Browne and illustrated by Jamie Hewlett and Zombie Flesh Eaters. Very well-preserved, light wear to jacket edges and corners a little bumped due to storage otherwise VG bright and unmarked. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. It's really a piece unlike any other and it is such a shame there's no sequel (even if the Gorillaz Almanac seems to be in a somewhat similar vein). While they could have gone and made a quick small book with existing artwork, they laboured in creating a genesis of a band showcasing every little minute detail in their lives to the present.
