The boot liners are closer to the toes so the cold water is closer too which means they are not as warm. Vivobarefoot shoes have a lot of big toe space, but can be a little squishy on people whose outer toes splay out wide. Them Thermo boots look very similar to the rubber bike boots I owned with the thick rubber and the fluffy liner. Mukishoes has a few other really nice barefoot boots, but the Igneous is the warmest and best for wintry weather!If you go for the sealskinz make sure you get the long legged ones so there above the top of your boots . Also is not reasonable in all circumstances since adding/removing layers should be done for reasons other than fitting.
