Gaviscon Double Action Sachets are suitable for children and adults over the age of 12 years and are most effective when taken after meals or before bed. Each 10 ml dose contains sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate 213 mg and calcium carbonate 325 mg. Based on the above, Gaviscon may be prescribed, if necessary, to women who are pregnant or breast-feeding.
