The world I am coming from - being super analytic and especially suspicious of Czech GZ pressings - was surprisingly impressed with the sound stage and pressing quality.

Good to have them back though, especially when the band appear to have used their time away productively. The gatefold have a lot of nice images but what takes the whole down a bit is the insert, one side is a very nice artwork, the other is a sloppily produced information and lyrics sheet where the 7empest is both misspelled (Tempest) and lyrics omitted, the only reason seems lack of space . What prompted me to do so: just listened to disc two and felt the need to concur-mastering and pressing are awe inspiring.Tool is a very visually driven band and I expected something a little more visually interesting to look at than what they chose for the album cover. Digital versions have 10 songs (they include 'Litanie Contre La Peur', 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are slightly under 87 minutes long. It's a beautifully made box set but my god what a spit in the face to tout this as a special thing, seemingly the only vinyl release of the album, only to release a standard version a few months later. I kept waiting for it to break open because it felt like there was a buildup many times but it just never happened. Tool members include drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and vocalist Maynard James Keenan.

Fifth studio album ' Fear Inoculum' is another set of baroque, stadium-sized prog-metal from The Thinking Man’s Primus. The sound is so unbelievably rich and being a huge fan of Danny Carey, there are sounds from him I can hear on vinyl i could never hear on mp3 or cd.From the the very first note, this album takes me back to cruising down the highway, Maynard and the boys blasting from the tape deck. It doesn't sound like the band challenged themselves or grew in any meaningful way over the last thirteen years.

The presentation and packaging is also done well, it’s almost like an art book, a little over the top but that's Tool. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. As far as the music is concerned, Chris Bellman has done a stupendous job mastering and mixing this album.

The discs are packaged in a hard shell box with new album art, and a bound casebook holding the vinyl along with new imagery not previously seen. Reading about how Keenan worked on the album around his wine making, it feels like that half focused effort bled through onto the song writing. Formed in 1990 in Los Angeles, California – Tool emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first studio album, Undertow in 1993. Opiate ² is a special limited-edition package, that includes a reimagined and extended version of the TOOL classic track.
