About this deal

Dave Hicks epos-h6-pro-closed-gaming-headset-review The EPOS H6PRO gaming headset is certainly on the premium side.

The H6PRO headset itself looks very nice out of the box and it’s clear to see some attention to detail has been given. Just know that the tradeoff for that feature, at least in my experience, seems to be a max volume level that's lower than expected, and not ideal for noisy environments.

In fact, they’re a little loose as I’ve noticed sometimes the ear cups would touch the front of my ears which means I need to push the headphones back a little. the overall feel of the headset feels very smooth and really good quality feels very sturdy and that's what I like not some plasticky feeling like other headsets, the ear muffs are very comfortable memory foam with a Swede material that touches your ear which add even more comfort. The second cable is used to connect the headset to a PC, laptop or soundcard that used separate headphone and microphone jacks.

The headset frame externally is plastic with metal bars internally for rigidity and head-size adjustment which merge into the cups through the additional arm which makes the H6PRO very comfortable to wear as well as giving it a nice premium look. The ear cups on both of the headsets feel distinctively different due to the materials used, but they are equally comfortable and do not generate much heat even after having them on for several hours.

There is very little to complain about, with the outstanding build quality, a good microphone, and excellent performance. If you are in the market for a new headset, I would highly suggest you take a close look at the options that EPOS is creating. Listening to audio is a treat, though they never manage to shine quite as brightly as the likes of Audeze, who is currently the king of audiophile-grade gaming headsets. Not a huge fan of having to constantly replace cable in the headset port when switching from pc to ps5 - would prefer termination to 3. If you're more interested in a wireless device, have a look at the Corsair HS80 RGB — its performance isn't quite as good as the EPOS's, but it is more affordable.

Overall, besides the differences with each variant that’ll come down to personal preference, there’s very little to complain about when it comes to the H6Pro’s sound design. pounds, owing to its more solid, sound-blocking material on the outer sides of the earcups, as well as a different kind of fabric on the ear pieces. As the outstanding balance, plus the interest now form part of your payable balance they will attract interest at your account rate, meaning you will pay interest on interest. They'll likely be most appealing in their open-back form for those looking for a headset designed to let in the ambient sound around you rather than blocking out the outside world. Así que pasé de ese headset a estos Epos H6Pro de más de 150 dólares, y debo decir que el cambio ha sido brutal!

Footsteps were clear, the odd thrown grenade was heard, explosions were deep and rich, and audio positioning was decent making it easy to pinpoint enemy locations. That’s not to say the Closed Acoustic version has poor bass, but comparing the the two headsets side by side, it is definitely less emphasized to give the highs more prominence. This headset's redesigned boom microphone is attached using a magnetic coupling so it can be removed with ease. I also love that both have a magnetic microphone boom that is actually muted when its in vertical position. If you choose to remove it, EPOS has also added a magnetic blank to fill in the gap, which is a really nice touch, especially if you are looking to use these to just listen to music, which they are more than capable of doing.

That said, depending on the shape and size of your ears, you may find some discomfort around the back of your ears as that’s where the earcups kind of secure their clamp around.

Aside from picking the right mouse and keyboard, choosing a good pair of headphones is just as important. At the very least, if you like things loud, consider the closed-backed model, which by its nature should hold in more of the audio that's pumped out by the headset's drivers. Despite its mostly plastic shell, it feels like a solid, quality headset, and it stayed snug on my medium-sized head for hours at a time while remaining comfortable. This headset's magnetic boom arm - positioned for optimal voice pickup - can easily be removed and replaced with a sleek cover plate if you're using an external microphone. There’s no denying the earcups look plasticky but overall it’s very solid and we like the look and feel of them.
