As weird of a mix as it sounds, It Takes Two is a whimsical and oftentimes silly game about divorce and the rekindling of old love. Their backyard's tree is grounds for what apparently is a long-fought war between its two chief occupants: the squirrels and the wasps. With the mechanics that was laid out really well throughout the game, we learnt alot about relationships and gaining new perspectives while having fun playing all the way till the end.

Yet perhaps the strangest thing about this whole section is not the crying sentient storm clouds, but the orchestra members you must rescue.This is when Dr Hakim acts as their therapist to let them discuss on the other aspects in their relationship as part of the elements for the mission. When Cody is controlling the flow of time to get the right moment for May’s Clone to do her part, it made them realize that actually they should make use of the time to spend it on the priority that are beneficial to them; because “it takes two” to work by sacrificing your time to meet your partner’s needs.

Hakim persistent mannerism toward May and Cody can be seen as obnoxious and annoying, albeit with the intention of fixing their relationship. Or hoping that if you waited out the quick-time cues, maybe the option to murder poor Cutie would just go away. She just looks morose and leaves them even though several hours must have passed while they were left in this state.Destroying their daughter's favorite toy, in the vain hope that her tears might reverse the magic, was more than just senseless. In a situation where we played was that one of the character May will have to let the second character, Cody to clear or set a path for May to reach the destination which will allow them to move forward allowing to complete the level. It might seem especially questionable that they are able to conduct electricity between wires for the sake of several puzzles in the first area of the game, "The Shed".

Of course, with all the time spent together our energy could drained us slowly and by having the space to spend our time alone allow us to recharge and focus more on our passion as an individual. That said, its story is still a delightful mess of plot holes, inconsistencies, and what-the-heck moments.

After he refers to Cody and May's relationship as a relation-s***t, the latter tries to correct him thinking he made a mistake. However being in a marriage would need to keep the sparks alive, if we feel like it is fading away which is normal then it takes both parties making the effort to ‘bring the sweetness back’ into the relationship.
