About this deal
As well made as the B17 Champ Narrow it replaces, it's comfortable, or will be when it's fully broken in. In 1959 a special version, the B17 Competition Campagnolo was introduced with longer rails set closer together offering more back and forth adjustment in conjunction with a special seatpin from Campagnolo.
Brooks has been making saddles in England for over 100 years, so you can be sure you’re getting expert engineering and craftsmanship with our Brooks Female Saddle. The Sprinter, Flyer and Swallow were all dropped in the late 1960s but in the 1980s Brooks reintroduced new versions of the B17 Swallow – these were not of the same quality as the originals.A new saddle should be treated at least once to help to assist the ‘breaking-in’ process and protect the saddle against the elements.
The special features include copper-pleated rails and hammered-copper rivets, making this classy saddle a nice addition to your bike. There have been numerous cheaper models – the best known of which are the B15 which used leather which was supposedly of slightly less good quality.Apply a small amount of Proofide to the finished top side of the leather, allowing it to permeate until dry.
