Introduced in 1984, Blanton’s namesake bourbon was the first ever Single Barrel Bourbon sold commercially. This is the only all-metal warehouse in the BT complex, which experienced the greatest fluctuations in temperature as a result, causing the barrels within to have greater interaction between spirit and wood. The barrels are then dumped, bottled and packaged by hand, including Blanton's signature stopper and wax. Today, super-premium bourbon features on pretty much every bourbon distillers portfolio but Blantons was the first.
